Cheyenne (1996)
Great to comment...Great to print the still photos of Bobbie on her bio
27 December 2002
I write western historical novels etc.....this movie was short on realism...acting ok....dialogue ok.....some of the gunfights had poor sound of gunfire....lots of action and quick quick quickly dead...bang bang bang....great to watch and have cheese and honey on toast with hot cocoa or peanuts or popcorn and a brandy-seven and no wife near to watch a man stare at Bobbie.....

Did I mention Bobbie Phillips???....Oh my Lord Harry...She is and has some of the more ...most beautiful sexy-dramatic-mannerisms...MiGod what a woman to watch.....Watch this for her alone if nothing else...she is amazing and I have her bio picture to inspire me to write about beautiful heroines . Arnie AKA Armand............I'm in love!!!!!!and I've been around more than seven decades now.

Fascination with movie subjects as I was NDE 3 hours in 1963 and met Asreal, Scorpio's Angel Of Death on the "Other" side.and became a Healer with some strange gift in my hands.

If ever an angel looked like Emmanuelle Be'art, she was the one. The movie was so enjoyable and moving at times, you could shed a tear, while laughing off the couch at the antics of the "MORTALS" The movie just made you feel good to be able to watch. Why it never became a 10 star I can't figure out. The American movies will often engross you in this type of "Story" with name stars and at the end, "KICK YOU IN THE STOMACH" for effect...like Turner and Hooch, and City Of Angels and Heaven Can Wait. This "DATE WITH AN ANGEL" is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have 4000 very selected movies movies on vcr tapes and this one is TOP TEN. It should be run more often. Armand D. Maanum

Great music can sometimes send you to a place between Heaven and Earth
20 September 2002
My wife and I viewed this picture on TV 9/20/02. The acting by all was so real and the music, the settings, and the singing by M. Korjus so incredibly beautiful it brought tears for the shear emotion as the story unfolded. I recommend this movie to anyone needing an uplifting of spirit, so poignant as to bring tears enough to cry away your troubles and to anyone who enjoys movies of such caliber as are so few these days. Bravo

The "Real" Bond is back but the Producers have done good job later
12 April 2001
The Bond movies have an addictive effect on all Bond fans. This is no exception. Connery and Basinger...and such a delight to the eyes is Barbara Carrerra....Some say she has limited acting ability...Well, she has a presence that makes up for any lack of that. The "Basinger" aura is so bright, it can blind the viewer and cover up the "Carrerra" look. How awful that actors age out of their role type...How great that Connery kept his greatness going in other later roles as he aged. I am a fan of Barbara and I would just once like to see her in an acting roll where she was directed by a really good "James Cameron" type of director. I think a lot of acting talent is lost when someone is "categorized" as a "pretty face and figure and sultry." Marilyn Monroe benefited by such and she finally came through as a really good actress in some well directed films. Viva Barbara.

Airport (1970)
A Minneapolis Locale Made Movie more for persons living at the time
9 April 2001
As a writer, much of the "boring" early portion might be the result of viewers born twenty years later...and used to "slam bang and crash" action. "NOW"........Well I liked it thoroughly and I liked the character buildup especially so I could "feel" what they were living through. This movie setting was actually filmed at Minneapolis' Twin City International Airport...Previously Known as Wold Chamberlain and I lived twenty-one years in sight of it, just exactly West 20 blocks of it. Since most of the actors have died and most current viewers may not even pay any attention to any of the "GREAT ONES" I can see why it seems dated to them...When I write, I want the reader to see-touch-taste-feel what I write. Haley's movie, Airport does all this so well it can make you laugh and cry and ache for the characters if you can "walk in their shoes for a while."....I never miss an "Arnold" or a "Willis" or a "Clooney" or a "Connery" or a "Jamie Lee Curtis" etc. either. Airport is the fore-runner and you can be in at the birthing. A. D. Maanum
