Evil Lives Here (2016)
Addictive show but...
Just found this show in demand and am bringing it currently. I'm currently on season 2 and the music (as a lot of comments suggest isn't that bad, unless you think about it too much) but what does bother me is the casting. The actors are obviously cheap ones who you can find anywhere, yet they always cast wrong. In this episode (The Horror I Don't Remember) she says "he was blonde haired blue eyed..." and you can see that from the pictures, yet they cast a RED HEAD with brown eyes. Sherry herself was obviously not skinny as a bean pole, yet that's how they cast her. Hoping the casting gets better in newer seasons.
Station 19: Demons (2022)
Maya and Carina need to go
The majority of the storylines when they stay out of politics are good. But I completely agree with a lot of reviewers... Maya and Carina are just irritating! I thought when Maya was finally removed as Captain (which was a horrible decision by the writing staff to even make her one in the first place), that maybe they'd have her character ride off into the sunset. But it's like they doubled down on making her irritating and a huge whiner. Just constantly complaining and arguing and backstabbing. Unless they're willing to completely revamp her character, they definitely need to move on and please move Carina back to Grey's in a limited role.
Grey's Anatomy: Let's Talk About Sex (2022)
Please give it a rest.
When I want politics (especially one sided) I'll turn on CNN, MSNBC or Fox News. Can we please keep it out of TV shows, sports and other things that are supposed to entertain and distract us from the political divisiveness of this country? Station 19 does this to nausea levels. Then not involving the girls parents was just disgusting. On the other hand, The Zola storyline is becoming very interesting with her brilliance coming through more and more. The grandma of Simone bringing Meredith into the storyline reminding us of her mother and things she had gone through was intense and gripping. Please keep to your lane...
Station 19 (2018)
Watch with your remote
If you simply FF when they start their whole woke preachy one sided storylines, you may enjoy this show. Most characters are pretty good, just overwhelmed with the narrative/agenda push.
Station 19: The Road You Didn't Take (2022)
Jack and Andy
I gave this episode a 6 based mostly on the Andy and Jack storylines. While I mostly watch for (crazy idea I know) FIRES and stuff, I do sometimes like character development drama type stories like what Andy and Jack are going through. But can we do the world (and your ratings) a favor and calm down on the preachy one sided narrow minded uneducated agenda? It's like the writers and producers are so focused on pushing their political views, they never use their brains. Travis yelling about people focused on illegal immigrants while ignoring health care, minimum wage and such just shows they didn't think it through at all . So you're saying let's open the country to anyone while simultaneously saying we can't take care of the people we have now? Genius writing!! Ugh! And I know the trans issue is a hot topic as the 3% of Americans who identify as trans have pushed the rest of the Gay community aside to make it all about them but wow, the storyline with the confused KID was just way over the top.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Truth (2021)
First part is 10/10 then goes Woke
The opening fight sequence was amazing but.. Disney pushing their bs agenda. If they would let us live as Americans and not label and separate, the world would be a much better place.
Schitt$ Creek: Moira's Nudes (2016)
Hilarious!
Best episode of the series so far. Cried laughing. Great writing, the lines delivered perfectly and facial reactions were great! While some episodes have a few funny moments, this one was one after another. Great job!
New Amsterdam: Harmony (2021)
Cheap shot
I would've given this episode a higher score if it didn't once again get political with a false narrative of "evil police going after black and brown Americans" plus I agree with the other reviewers about the ongoing drawn out battle with Max. Obviously he's not leaving in the long run, so a few episodes would've sufficed but the writers seem blocked or something and want to just constantly go on and on with the same thing.
Dexter: Swim Deep (2012)
Jailhouse communications error
Love Dexter and am watching it again to prepare for the new show but it blew me away that the writers thought that having two career murdering criminals discuss their crimes on jail phones was a good idea? Could've wrote it so they used some kinda code words or something at least. Otherwise great acting as always.
Station 19: 100% or Nothing (2021)
Action and character development not politics
I love a lot of the characters on this show which keeps me watching. The show is supposed to be a first responders show though and lacks much action in that area. The guy stuck in the door didn't even seem realistic, looked like he could get out easily. And as many of the reviewers have stated the past two seasons, STOP with the political bs "all cops are bad" narrative. If you're trying to increase ratings maybe think about the core audience of first responder shows (those who like police, fire and rescue)
Talking Dead: Promises Broken/Konsekans (2021)
Awkward
I like most episodes of Talking Dead but this just felt off. From the opening monologue where it seemed Chris was interrupted or distracted while reading and looked annoyed through to the end where he looked relieved it was over. Ron was just not funny, trying to force jokes that just weren't there and added very little to the conversation. Alexa Mansour seemed so uncomfortable. Josh was just a yawn. Don't waste your time with this episode, you won't gain much from watching.
The Walking Dead: On the Inside (2021)
Scary!
Walking Dead mixed with scares that made other horror movies cringeworthy! Elements of The Ring, The Grudge and Hush. Loved this episode. Best in a long time!
Blue Bloods: The New You (2021)
Added laughter made this episode gold
The dynamic between Anthony and Danny is one of my favorite things on the show. Wish they'd be forced to work together more often. The sarcasm and quick jabs on this episode was the best part! Danny's hairline and Anthony's waistline haha.
Station 19: Get Up, Stand Up (2021)
Skip it
Political narrative documentary. I watch Greys and Station 19 for drama, action and sometimes a little comedy. I do not watch for the narrative of "cops are bad" and social justice. Bring back our shows and let us have the escape from constant talk of Covid and racism we get from the news and social media. Please and thank you.
Station 19: Train in Vain (2021)
First Responders not political slant
To the writers and producers: we watch these type of shows for action and drama not politics. First responders including police are important to us and increase our desire to watch shows like this. We watch for those fighting fires, rescuing lives and keeping us safe. If we want to hear the liberal Democrat agenda of police are all bad and hate black people then we'll tune in to CNN or MSNBC, not watch this show expecting to hear how bad police are. Please just entertain not preach!
New Amsterdam: Pressure Drop (2021)
Are you kidding me?!?!?
Please stop!! If you're a writer or producer of this show and actually care about viewers and this show continuing.. go back to what we loved. Look at the ratings and reviews this season compared to even just last season. You're ruining what we loved by trying to push "social justice" divisional politics into a medical drama.
The L Word: Generation Q: Late to the Party (2021)
Rosie O please just no.
Loved the original "L Word" and the first season of Gen Q was good.... Like reuniting with long lost family but Rosie just hit my screen with whatever cliché character fake accent type thing and I just want to cancel showtime immediately. I'll give it some time as the Jenny character on the original made me ff a lot too, so maybe I'll just need to do that? 🙄
Those Who Wish Me Dead (2021)
Lose ends
Decent movie. The loose ends were the most annoying to me. What was the info his father had? Other than Tyler Perry's brief cameo, who were the "big bad" who sent the hit men? What happened to them? Did the baby survive? I even sat through the credits hoping for a hidden scene... nope.
Fear the Walking Dead: In Dreams (2021)
The Key
Episode was an emotional roller coaster but I really enjoyed it! Am I the only one who thinks the "key" is to launch a nuke or more than one? That group is underground and looking to destroy everything above ground... makes sense!
Blue Bloods: Triumph Over Trauma (2020)
Not our first Whoopi
Keep in mind first this is Whoopi's third time on the show and not the only "liberal quack" character they've had on the show. The difference between her views and the majority of us viewers of Blue Bloods aka conservatives is that we don't just shut people down. We can disagree and yet be civil. I don't mind having other people's views just as long as there is the counter (correct in my opinion) view. Otherwise it was an ok episode. Following last years season finale it felt lacking.
The Conners: Protest, Drug Test and One Leaves the Nest (2020)
Comedy without politics?
Remember when Blackish was funny and not a leftist propaganda machine? I don't mind a touch of politics but taking one side (ignorantly at that) on a comedy... getting old!
FBI: Most Wanted: Rampage (2020)
Wilkes Barre
Lived in or near Wilkes Barre most of my life. Boats made no sense as mentioned in another review plus learn how to say Wilkes-Barre we pronounce it like "berry". It's ok having the main characters saying it wrong but the "news media"?
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
Different but go so far
If you go in with an open mind and DO NOT compare it to the other shows, it's pretty good so far. Plus the Rick Easter eggs in the pilot were nice.
9-1-1: What's Next? (2020)
What about May?
Great episode. Liked seeing Buck get some closure. Only question I have (maybe I missed it) May Grant said she needed to tell Maddie something yet they never went back to it. Supposed to be a cliffhanger? Odd choice but I'm guessing she wants to be an officer instead of college maybe?
