Tell Me Who I Am (2019)
Heartfelt
Tell me who I am, it's very sad. I can see why twin 1 held back, but could also see twin 2's reasons. I'd like to see a follow up documentary on how twin 2 deals with the truth.
I can't say too much more without giving it away, but prepare yourself. A very raw, emotional and sad documentary that could trigger some people.
Could be a trigger factor to some people, but a very good documentary.
A Very English Scandal (2018)
Awesome
A Very English Scandal, an extremely well done 3 part mini series about the Thorpe Affair, the British sex scandal, involving English politician Jeremy Thorpe and Norman Josiffe.(Scott)
Hugh Grant & Ben Wishaw played their parts impeccably, in my view with absolutely no fault. It kept me engaged the entire time without distraction, a little bit of wit, a little bit of shock, and suspenseful.
Back in the 60's in a time when being camp was frowned upon/ illegal, this is a must watch poignant & quirky film.
Results (2015)
Slow throughout
A complex movie which I personally couldn't grasp. It was a bit too slow for me, and all over the place, the scenes didn't blend smoothly from one to the next. It was like someone driving a manual car for the first time.
I have a love/ hate relationship with Pearce, Some of his movies are brilliant others not so much. In this one though, I thought his character was rather subdued. I did make it to the end, but I wish I had of chosen a differing movie.
The Queen's Gambit (2020)
Brilliant
#ADDICTED Queens Gambit, call me stupid, but when I chose to watch this, I had no idea that the part of the title was related to chess and gambit is when a sacrifice of the queen's bishop's pawn is offered. (Until now, I knew absolutely nothing about chess)
I did know the movie was about chess games that the character played, but thought she was royalty or something lol. Anyway let's just say, I've
It's absolutely brilliant. If you're into a small commitment, 7 episodes ranging from 45 minutes to an hour then I seriously suggest giving this a go.
Blooper in the series too, if you pick up on it let me know. I had to rewind just to make sure. The blooper i picked up is in episode 5.
Wheels of Fortune (2020)
A few funnies
A slapstick comedy that is rather stupid. If you're hung over maybe it might be enjoyable. Synopsis is the main character need to complete a series of tasks to claim an inheritance. This movie wouldn't have done any justice to the actors. Maybe more of a kids movie??
The Mule (2018)
Clint Eastwood still getting it up at 89
The Mule with Clint Eastwood, well, not really an Eastwood fan, I do like some of his films but this one, wow. He portrays loneliness and pain with natural stoicism...a mixture of different emotions..thoroughly enjoyed it.
