The Adam Project (2022)
It's getting tedious
First off, I like Ryan Reynolds. I think he's probably a pretty good person in real life, and in that regard, I have a lot of respect for him. But I'm tired of seeing Ryan Reynolds play Ryan Reynolds in movies. He's the same guy every time. And no amount of Ryan Reynolds could make this (or Free Guy, or Red Notice) into a good movie.
Soldier (1998)
If you can't enjoy this on some level I feel sorry for you
I'm not going to try to make this out to be something it isn't. This is not a great movie. The special effects are mostly crap, and some are hilariously bad. Kurt Russell says 104 words in the whole movie, or almost $200,000 per word for his 20 million dollar payday for this train wreck. And it doesn't matter. I've probably seen it over a dozen times, and I love it. It's entertaining, and has enough action and violence to make it worth your time. Shut your brain off and ignore the naysayers, this is worthy. Kurt is completely jacked and definitely looks the part. And even though he says next to nothing during the whole thing, his brief halftime speech before he goes and kills everyone gives me a chill, every time. Like I said, it's not a great movie though. It is, however, a really good time.
The Dead Don't Die (2019)
Save yourselves!
I don't mind slow movies. I can enjoy some movies that are stupid. I can handle boring, to a point. This was excruciatingly boring. And frustrating. Act! Do something! Anything! You have all this talent in the cast, but nothing's happening!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Tiresome
I can assure you, you've seen this movie 12 times before, and this is easily the worst version. Mixing the plots of several other well done movies together and reheating it doesn't make it taste any better. Honestly can't believe this was destined for theaters, unless people's expectations have been beaten down worse than I thought.
They Nest (2000)
Better than expected
You pretty much know what's going to happen after the first 2 minutes, but still, this was actually better than I thought it was going to be. Easy way to kill 90 minutes.
Project Power (2020)
Project Powerless
Really disappointing, had a hard time getting through it. It was boring, and I couldn't have cared less about any of the characters by the half way point. Just a really poor effort all around.
Raised by Wolves (2020)
I want my 10 hours back
I'm sorry, but this was a huge letdown, although given the direction that the Alien franchise has gone, maybe I should have tempered my expectations. So many ridiculous plot holes. So many pointless plot lines that don't really go anywhere. By the sixth episode, I was getting pretty fed up. I persevered, only to be slapped in the face by the train wreck that was the season finale. Do yourselves a favor, watch all the Sharknados instead; at least they're supposed to be ridiculous, you will probably get a laugh or two and be more entertained (and less confused), and they both feature flying fish.
