Yeap, that's how it is done!!! Second part leaves me literally flabbergasted! Glorious action, strong performances, story, I mean absolutely everything is just perfect...thing is, I'm a big fan of David Lynch and so of the original Dune...basically, because of that,,I really didn't think, that I would like the new one. What I can say, not only I was wrong, but the new version impressed the hell out of me!!!!can't wait for the continuation!hope tgat it will be as brilliant as the first two parts!good sometimes to get proof that the cinematography is not dead yet,even though sometimes it fells so)

Goody good) Not all hope lost yet for the horror genre and all cinema altogether ))) That was a very very well made film ! The mastery of it is very simple and very effective: take an old , overused story ,add the unusual setting , time and surroundings and you definitely can produce a winner !!! Add to that a very talented actors , decent humor and sense of macabre at the same time and you have one of the very few (unfortunately)decent , modern horror movies !!! I'm very happy , that I have ignored my own dislike of the film's name ( sounded more like a joke to me ))) and watched it !!! Definitely recommended!!!

Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver (2024)

Here we go again...Just as with the first part , it feels that everything in the world of cinematography (all world as is ) went absolutely upside down... Nothing makes sense anymore : man are women , women are men , some are cats , some are whoever , here is another example of absolutely illogical , braindead people out there , who worship the most stupid movie in existence (Barbie ,of course ))), but in mass criticize and put down this film ... If you'll have any knowledge or understanding of the most amazing universe of storytelling via books and movies , you would see that this film is basically fantasy variation on Magnificent Seven , or it's predecessor & samurais ...No plot , no story ... primitive people ... The story is as old as the first fairy tale : Big bad force bullying good innocents , here comes the help (in many different ways over centuries ))) So ,why not to just relax and enjoy it for what it is :modern fairy tale with amazing action and simple old story....

Not very good , but not as bad as the rating suggests ))) My point is simple : if I watched the film to the end and didn't spend significant amount of time on the phone either ) It means , that the film was reasonably captivating ... Story was used before many times , acting definitely amateurish , effects are half decent , but , to be reasonably objective , I can not judge it too harshly : for a very simple reason , this is a first attempt of this team to produce a movie .And that fact alone , makes me wonder what they will do with bigger budget and better actors ?Overall , not a must see , for sure , but ok for a one time watch.

Not as good as the first film ...I think , mainly because the missing lady , was annoying and unpleasant , just couldn't feel anything for her ... Otherwise , not bad ...Kind of satisfied the urge I have lately to return to the old fashioned style of cinematography , when films were more about character development and acting than special effects and non stop action . This film ,definitely , achieves that : there was almost no violence or fights or car chases, or , for that matter -casual nudity or sex . That's why for me it was a pleasant reminder of the days once and for all gone ... I mean , I love some crazy action , but sometimes just want to sit quietly and enjoy a bit of a cerebral thriller )

Very, very , very decent whodunit , with immersive Australian flavor .

Kind of satisfied the urge I have lately to return to the old fashioned style of cinematography , when films were more about character development and acting than special effects and non stop action . This film ,definitely , achieves that : there was almost no violence or fights or car chases, or , for that matter -casual nudity or sex . That's why for me it was a pleasant reminder of the days once and for all gone ... I mean , I love some crazy action , but sometimes just want to sit quietly and enjoy a bit of a cerebral thriller )

Was it a very good movie , nope ...one of a kind horror ,which will haunt your dreams forever ? Nope ... Was the story , so original , you could have never imagined something so unexpectedly fresh , being made at the time in cinema history , that screams mediocre ??? Nope , nope and nope... On the other hand : It definitely entertained me better , than many films with high rating out there ... I will never rewatch it , but I am not sorry ,that I didn't pay much attention at the horrible ratings and terrible reviews , and watch it . Definitely , not very bad one time watch ! Specifically for people with big inground pools )))

Well ... I can see why most of the viewers don't like this film : like many times before It is "misdiagnosed" as a horror , when in reality , more proper identification , would by psychological-drama /horrror... It is gory and unsettling ,but it is very far from horror. Definitely ,a lot of inspiration came from great films from the past , personally for me , It really remanded me of an amazing Film "May" , which is absolutely in another category of the best possible films ), but this one definitely resonated with me along the nerve endings ,which left forever tingling even with just a memory of "May") Hence a 7 stars rating )

Chuck (2007–2012)

What I can say ? Unfortunately , like with the most tv shows out there ,Chuck started very well : reasonably funny , with likable actors , amusing situations and unexpectedly quite a bit of decent action .

But , probably , after initial success . The writing became very lazy , which was very noticeable ,as some episodes were brilliant and some moronic ... With progression of the show , with a great pity , I've acknowledged that the moronic ones started to outweigh good ones ... And after that ,I just didn't have any more patience to spend most of the episodes on my phone and stopped watching it altogether ...

Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor (2023)

Not as bad as two previous ones , but very far from the original ...To say the true , the film was reasonably scary , reasonably interesting , the very unreasonably bad thing was the main actress...I mean ,all acting was weak , but she was just plain terrible ...Didn't help that her character was annoyingly unpleasant too)Still , considering , the obvious small budget , It still managed to deliver distinctively creepy vibes , traditional found footage first person immersion and overall definitely worthy addition to my favorite genre ) All in all not a bad one time watch , especially if not much decent horrors left to be found >>>

Primitive , brainless , pointless ...basically less of everything ) Nevertheless , gets 6 stars from me , for a sheer non stop absurd over the top action , which managed to captivate and thrill .Personally ,I dislike all of this new films , which put of all of the known big dudes/monsters/titans in one big mash-up ,couse It feels that all of them missing a lot of themselves by sharing screen time with others...Prefer more old fashioned , classical films .So considering all of the many negative feelings I had towards this film, even before It came out , it's wonderful that it gave me a pleasant surprise ! Overall , decent one time watch!

My fault)))I didn't go to deep into what's this film all about , just read slightly misrepresented genre , so fantasy / dragon and made a wrong decision to watch it ))) This is a good film , if it would be advertised like a fairy tale for children ))) Not as a fantasy movie ... Considering that it is a film for children , I still give it a 6 stars , just to acknowledge the fact that it is indeed a decent fairy tale style flick. Now , if I would take it more seriously , I would have to be more strict and probably give it about 4 stars ... Basically there is not much positive about this film ...

The situation is unfortunate but simple:there are some directors,who have established themselves simply as the best, so the expectations for their cinematic exploits are extremely high. The consequences of that are, that it is very difficult, sometimes plain impossible to live up to this, above-mentioned expectations and, so reasonably entertaining film, which would be fine if the name of Guy Ritchie wouldn't be attached to it...As is, it is a spectacular film without any depth, logic and glowing finess of his earlier films. Another unfortunate disappointment in a row of many disappointments of modern cinema...

As much as I love me some fine European horrors, especially French, this one was very primitive, basically not very good rip off of the amazing Rec...Only thing this film has going for it ,as usual, very realistic and powerfull acting. Very natural and intense. Other than that, childish story,not scary at all, and overall pretty dumb movie. Dunno ,maybe this film can be called horror, just by people with pathological fear of creepy crawlers)Anyway, passable one time watch, if you (like me)absolutely run out of anything interesting to watch and desperate enough to spend time on this thing )))))

That is one film , that makes me wonder ,what exactly the makers of it wanted to create and what the audiences around the world got out of it...The film is very well made from dramatic perspective ,acting ,story ,all is well .Thing , which made me uneasy ,is the Godzilla itself :really feels outdated and absolutely unrealistic. Now , if the creators wanted to bow to the original films , they definitely succeeded , personally , I would like to see the Monster more scary ,with more fluid movements and less stop-motion doll looking... nevertheless , decent film,even though ,I don't really share the 10 star opinion of many...

Thank you! Oh, gods of horror cinema , for allowing this gem of a movie into existence !!! Considering , that unfortunately , most of the modern films , especially horrors ,are extremely disappointing : It is a very pleasant surprise to watch a masterfully made film. Even though , it wasn't particularly original and somewhat predictable , nevertheless , the strong performances , decent gore on one side and humor on another made it one of the most memorable films in recent times ! Definitely worth watching , having in collection and at some point in future , to rewatch ! Highly recommended to all horror fans out there !

It is a very uneasy for me to watch and review this particular show...As is , it is definitely in a realm of the films and shows , made in Europe , with its usual dark , unforgiving and grim narrative , which I definitely love ) Being from Europe myself ) On the other hand , it is frustratingly repetitive , in a way , that just infuriated me : constant swan song of betrayal ... One time , two times , ok , for the sake of story , maybe works out ... But probably hundred fifty times ???Come on , mafia is known for Omerta , loyalty and heavy duty criminal code ... There can be only so many rats ... Overall , I did watch it all, but it didn't live up to my expectations , so 50/50 , 5 stars is all it gets ...

Definitely one of the better ones !!! It wasn't very easy for me even to start watching this show , because of my overall dislike of the both actresses portraying both main characters ... They are definitely talented but , usually I try to avoid anything with them in it ... To say the true , very happy that this time I persisted in viewing this series ! Very entertaining , story is smart and intriguing enough to hold my attention throughout all seasons . Unusual , that the law drama stayed very interesting , even without regular courtroom scenes. Wouldn't mind even if there would be a couple more seasons )))

Yeap !!!!!! This is one of the very few ( unfortunately) , tv shows , especially in the sci fi domain, to be so absolutely astonishingly good ! I would say , that the brilliance of it , is not in one particular strength , but , more importantly ,in very high standard of the production overall . Action is very well done , characters well developed and liked , story is complicated , but well explained ... Basically , except some small , not very significant points , which I disliked , it is breathtakingly , glued to the screen kind of entertainment ! Definitely , highly recommended for all !!!!!

Fear the woking writers ... Absolutely idiotic show , which had a few really good storylines , which where abruptly ended just to morph later into some unrecognisable mulch . Pacifistic to the point of me , asking , what the point of making zombie apocalypse show , if the main line is to try not to kill anybody ? To spend life looking for precious few leftover resources , just to leave em on the side of the road to " help " others ????? I mean , I could go on for , probably , an hour or so , listing all incredulous and foolish things done in this show ... Pity , as the original is one of the best and this had potential to be close second ...

Primitively entertaining...I'm a very big fan of Jason Statham , but for his movie to be successful , he really needs a brilliant support characters , because he is amazing as a martial arts master , not so much as an actor ... Unfortunately , in this instance , supporting staff is atrociously bad ... I would really like to know who in their right mind cast the female FBI agent ??? Absolutely no acting skills , and the grace of a running hippo , while trying to picture a professional agent at the peak of her form ... Pitiful and not clever .. Better films of Jason Statham shine because of the better actors refining his insane action style ... 5 stars out of respect for him...

Westworld (2016–2022)

Difficult to properly understand and review this show ... for a very simple reason ( many people feel the same , as I see from comments) that there is an enormous difference in basically everything , between first 2 seasons and the rest of the show ... The first season was a revelation , anything else just paled in comparison to it's deep philosophical , psychological narrative , which masterfully intertwined with action , gore and violence ! Terrific , definitely one of a kind ! Unfortunately , the third and forth seasons , couldn't get even close to that achievement ... Nevertheless , I just can't give it less than 10 stars , because it is still magnificent !

There is absolutely nothing special or original in this film , but in a way , that's what made it for me , really enjoyable ) Old fashioned shoot'em up with decent acting , action and all of the rest ... Still , i want to say , that when the time comes , probably it is better to retire on the top of your success , than to continue acting almost ( or probably ) in diapers , where is dignity in it ? A lot of new films came out with bunch of geriatric actors and directors , pretending , that time has no power over them... De Niro , Ford , now Brosnan and Caan ... Unfortunately , humans are not getting better with age , like vine ... Nevertheless , it's ok one time watch .

Plain bad ... The first one was in comparison a gem ) At least there was some cool ideas and decent acting in the original , as much as it was definitely not realistic , it was funny , gory and over the top cool . This one tried very hard to recreate the same style and feel as the previous one , but they not even just didn't succeed , but made it so much worse ... It seems to be written by a not very clever teenager , absolutely without any logic or insight , just a mismatch of some kind of parts of many other better films , made hastily into a patchwork of a pretty dumb movie . Avoid !!! )))))
