One Hour Photo (2002)
Amazing Film
I went with my dad to see this out of the lack of good movies going around right now. And I'm happy I did. One Hour Photo is one of the most amazing films I have ever seen.
"One Hour Photo" focuses on a man named Seymour "Sy" Parrish who works at the photo development area in Savmart. He seems normal, if a little monotone. He definately loves his work. But theres something more. Hes fixated on The Yorkins, a family he has been developing pictures for. In secret, he makes extra prints of the pictures they want developed and takes them for his own, quietly adopting the family as his own. Then one day, everything changes.
I loved this movie. Pure and simple. But, I wouldnt have loved it as much if Robin Williams wasnt in it. He makes Seymour come alive and does a hell of a job doing it. After this and "Insomnia", if he doesnt get an Oscar nomination, Im gonna be really surprised.
See One Hour Photo ASAP!
Halloween II (1981)
Just as Good as The Original Film
Halloween 2 surprised me. After I saw the first one, I rented the second one not knowing what it could be about. When I watched it, I loved it. This film picks up right where the first film left off and I couldn't have been happier after the first one's ending. The acting was as good as usual for Pleasance and Curtis, but I didnt like the staff. They just...I dont know...sucked basically. The Shape was well performed too. Great movie and even better if you watch both of them in a row!
Halloween (1978)
Not Perfect, But Suspenseful
I first saw Halloween last Halloween night when I got bored and went looking for movies. Since then, I cant stop watching it. The movie is extremely suspenseful and the music really adds to the suspense. Sometimes though, it seemed to drag on and it was a little overly quiet. But thats a small gripe. If you havent seen this movie yet, RENT IT or BUY IT!
At Any Cost (2000)
Surprisingly Good
When I started to watch this movie on VH-1 I cringed. The MTV movies were all bad so I wasnt expecting much. But this movie was really good. I liked it a lot. And it even had a twist at the end. See this movie because it shows that Made For TV movies that are good exist.
The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000)
Good, Not Great, But Good
I saw this movie in the theatres a few hours ago and I thought it was pretty good. But it was slow in the beginning and Golf really isnt a good topic for a movie. Will Smith didnt do much in the movie considering his character was the title character. Matt Damon did some good acting in this also. Besides the slowness in the beginning, it was a great movie and I recommend it.
