It's Like, You Know... (1999–2001)
Not enough time to develop before they killed it
28 June 2000
This was a show from the creators of Seinfeld, and like Seinfeld, it was slow getting off the ground. I liked "it's like, you know...." and I thought it was becoming funnier as the characters settled in and story lines developed. Making fun of L.A. life IS funny to people outside of L.A. Unfortunately ABC killed it before it could reach it's full potential.

Better than I expected
3 January 2000
Before renting, I was skeptical. Harvey Keitel as Elvis? However this movie will hit a good note with fans that recognize Elvis Presley has become almost mythical, god-like, nearly a quarter-century after his "disappearance."

Patton (1970)
The best on my list of war movies!
2 September 1999
Better than "Full Metal Jacket," "The Dirty Dozen," or "Saving Private Ryan." Scott simply becomes Patton. So much so that a few months ago I was browsing through a book on the Patton's military history--and was taken aback when the picture of George S. Patton WASN'T George C. Scott! Patton was arrogant, abusive, and a real son-of-a-bitch--and Scott's performance brings that through perfectly. Goes to prove that the best Generals were slightly crazy. What 20th Century Fox needs to do is bring this baby to DVD!

Angel's Dance (1999)
A very different mob movie--fun to watch!
6 June 1999
I discovered this movie on HBO late late one night, and was pleasantly surprised. What starts out as a typical mob movie, with greasy hit men and fat Godfathers in Chicago, quickly turns unconventional with a change of scene to California. Our "heroine" in the movie (Lee) is a social recluse who dresses stiffs at the mortuary, while the "master" hit man (Belushi) surfs and eats tofu. Lee's character quickly goes from being the hunted to the hunter, which is the best part of the movie. Very entertaining to watch!
