A quirky independent film featuring the talented Edie Falco
1 June 2001
Oddball people in a funky New York apartment building interrelate in ways sure to keep you watching this film. This is good black comedy, superbly crafted and woven together with some wonderful character actors. I am collecting films with the gifted Edie Falco, and this a find, along with "Judy Berlin" and "Cost of Living". My only hesitation .... the ending seems a little too over the top. But overall, a very good watch.

Khu gam (1995)
Slow movie
14 February 1999
Saw this film is a special showing and walked out halfway through. It is a pretty film, but the story is a little too slow for my tastes. Never really felt the characters were more than two-dimensional. First film from Thailand I ever saw. Impressed by the production values, but left cold by the characters. Too bad.

recommended but found wanting
14 February 1999
This film came recommended as a good action film, which I don't really think it is. I found the story convoluted and not all that easy to follow. There really isn't that much action until the end of the film and it's pretty dark and hard to see what's really happening. I was sure hoping for something different, but, alas, didn't find it here.
