The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000 TV Movie)
Okay...
28 August 2000
Well, the film was not too bad and neither was Hewitt, but she is simply not Audrey. She obviously tried very hard and did an admirable job, but she comes nowhere near to having that effortless charm and grace that Audrey had. JLH gave a nice performance, showing her talent for possibly another dramatic film, but she is just not Audrey. There can never be another actress with such grace, beauty, and talent.

The Bride (1985)
David Rappaport is the star of this movie
25 December 1999
Is it just me, or do Jennifer Beals and Sting completely disappear? The most attention, thank God, is paid to David Rappaport and Clancy Brown.

David is extremely good...his character is truly touching! He brought the only life into the movie. He was a wonderfully talented actor and seemingly a sweet guy. He was so incredible in this movie. The movie itself was terrible. Sting is disgusting. But it was nice seeing Cary Elwes as a baby.

WONDERFUL
23 December 1999
I loved Ferris Bueller's Day Off...but I must say that Alan Ruck is sooo much better than Matt Broderick. He brings Cameron to life beautifully. This is a boy who is in a lot of pain and wisecracks to forget about it, and Alan really WAS Cam. Mia Sara is annoyingly bland..they could have gotten a better actress to play Sloane. She appears to force any emotions she is required to show.

Also, the part that has me on the floor every time is the English (?) teacher going "Inn...whaaaat...waaaayyyy....does the author's use...offf...prison!...symboliiiiize...."

Awesome
11 May 1999
The film's animation is stunning and there is a great plotline. The score is brilliant, particularly the catchy "Kidnap the Sandy Claws". My only complaint is that some of Jack's numbers tend to drag a bit. But DO NOT miss the movie!

My Man Adam (1985)
Cute...good for a rainy day
2 May 1999
My Man Adam is a good movie. It's funny at times, basically good if you have nothing to do. Good performances. It was upsetting to me because Jeffrey Mylett, as Phillip, was dying of AIDS at the time and you can tell.

Alice in Wonderland (1999 TV Movie)
Not great
16 March 1999
The pace was slow, the acting was awful except for a certain few, and the special effects were choppy. MARTIN SHORT: Brilliant as he always is, was good, but his role was slightly overplayed. There was too much incoherent giggling and screeching. Good job by him, but he could've been more psychologically mad, as was Ed Wynn's Hatter in the cartoon. MIRANDA RICHARDSON: Very good job, but the speaking voice was TOO weird. The pitch was great, annoying and loud, just as the Queen should be, but that strange accent annoyed me to no ends. CHRISTOPHER LLOYD: Good, but his dialogue was slow paced. Finally, TINA MAJORINO: Quiet, shy, passive..not at all the Alice we were expecting. Very fake accent, don't you agree?

I thought the flick could have been better, if they had only concentrated more on the storyline instead of their great show of special effects, all of which were quite weird. Did anyone notice how badly the Cheshire Cat was done or how Martin Short's head moved around at the neck?

Funnier than the first one
15 February 1999
I thought the movie was quite funny, especially scenes like Martin Short doing a workout with the pregnant mother and daughter...that was really great! Martin Short is basically one of the highlights of the movie...his accent is so weird and funny that you have to love him. Steve Martin was also good, and I liked his reactions to everything. Overall, the flick was better than the first one, and cute. But after awhile, Steve Martin gets a bit annoying with his obsessing over the pregnant women.

Time Bandits (1981)
10/10
WONDERFUL MOVIE
28 December 1998
Ever since I first saw Time Bandits, I have become emotionally attached to the six midgets who star in the film. Call me crazy, but they appealed to me. The movie is funny, exciting, and best of all, it appeals to kids. The whole plot is funny, and the obsession with height also helps with the humor. The cast of Time Bandits is exceptional. The little boy proves to be likable, the midgets as well, especially the leader Randall, played by a very gifted actor who has since passed on. The supporting cast, consisting of Michael Palin, John Cleese, Shelley Duvall, Ralph Richardson, and others, strengthens the movie immensely. I recommend this movie to everyone. GO SEE IT!!!
