Millennium (I) (1996–1999)
Brilliant

This is undoubtedly one of the most intelligent and thought-provoking series that has come out in a long time. If we were able give it a vote, I would give it a 10/10.

A great way to kill an hour and a half
9 January 1999
All I can say about this movie is that i'ts a great time-killer. I would rent it if I saw it in my video store, and personally I think it's very funny despite the reviews it got. If you're a fan of comedy or even just a fan of Pesci or Glover, give it a try!

Ugggh

I saw this movie the day it came out because a bunch of my friends asked me to go and I wasn't doing anything. I wish I had been. I wasn't a big fan of the original, and this one has made me lose almost all faith in horror/slasher movies altogether.

I would probably blame it on realism. As with most horror movies, the killers don't follow any known psychcological profile of a serial killer. And something that bothers me moreso is the way that it is referred to as a copycat killer, when that is not what it actually is, although it appears that way at the beginning.

It had some good puns in it, but those couldn't help fix the rest of it. I chose to not go to a party once because I found out that they were going to be watching this movie there. I can't stand it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if you want a fantastic horror/slasher movie, rent Hitchcock's "Psycho."

Good book, bad movie
29 December 1998
I rented this movie because of pressure put on me by friends who told me that it was great. I had read the book a few years ago, and I liked it. So I took out the movie, and hated it. Granted, I'm not a big fan of the genre, but I found it to be not the least bit scary or suspenseful and riddled with inconsistencies. I have no interest in seeing the sequel and finding out what happens to Julie at the end because frankly I don't care.

However, I have a feeling that the story could have been much better if they actually had the movie easily connect to the book-- in the book they killed a little boy by accident, not some fisherman who had just killed someone else or whatever it was that happened. And just reading the words in parts of the book drew up more suspense than any part of the movie.

To sum it up: Read the book, skip the movie.

Another reason I don't like horror flicks...
29 December 1998
...is movies like this. I do a lot of studying on serial killers and such, and I can't stand the way that there are so seldom any killers that follow any known psychological profile. So I try to look past that, but I can't like a movie that is supposed to be scary but doesn't scare me. I could easily watch this at one in the morning home alone to use it to fall asleep. If you want a truly good horror/slasher movie, rent Hitchcock's "Psycho".

Good for a few laughs
28 December 1998
When I saw commercials for this movie a few months ago, I was eager to go out and see it even though I'm not a big Farley fan. But it never came out in any theaters around me. So I rented it today, and I was cracking up. I wish I could have seen it earlier. It's got nearly every kind of humor you can think of from slapstick to Seinfeld-esque. I would recommend it to anyone who has an hour and a half to kill and enjoys some cheap laughs. 8/10

My all-time favorite
27 December 1998
I'm a huge X-Phile, so I won't go into details about why I loved the movie and have seen it over 20 times -- there are too many.

The only thing I would like to comment on is the fact that many people say it is just like three episodes of the show and there's no reason it should have been a movie. For one thing, Fox isn't in the habit of handing out $20 Million per episode. And secondly, what else would it be? The movie is based on a show called The X-Files, so you go to the theater expecting X-Files. Of course it's going to be like three big-budget episodes put together! What else would they do? Take completely non-related to X-Files things at make it a movie and slap the title The X-Files on it?

Hysterical
27 December 1998
I saw John Candy on the cover at the movie store so I rented it, and I love it! I've seen it dozens of times and it's still funny. Despite the negative response it received from reviewers, it rates as one of my favorite movies of all time.

The X-Files Game (1998 Video Game)

Fantastic
26 December 1998
This game is great as long as you don't rush through it. Even though you can beat it in about four hours, you have to take time to do some of the little unnecessary things to really like it. (i.e. Keeping Skinner, Shanks, and Cook informed on your investigations via e-mail)

If you're a big fan of the show, you'll love the game too.
