Cours du soir pour monsieur seul (1974)
acceptable erotic comedy
A silly warehouse manager receives an anonymous letter accusing his wife of cheating him with another man. His friend, a real playboy, advises him to see a female psychiatrist, who seems to be a real nympho. Then his friend introduces him to his cycle of girlfriends
Duval plays the role of his girlfriend Madly. Earl plays a photo model that engages in a lesbian encounter with a colleague. This is a mediocre near hardcore comedy in the french and Latin style from this period. Mediocre cinematography. Interesting because a whole bunch of adult french starlets from the early period of adult filming appear. The acting is acceptable and the storyline is more or less logic. The video box of this Holland edition states Jean-Pierre Marise as the director.
Les filles de Malemort (1974)
magic-realist erotic fairy tale
A young couple discover an ancient book in the attic and start reading the story of the Malemort family
a sombre household set in the nineteenth century in rural France. The old man Deroze plays his violin and tries to seduce the maid. His elder daughter Maxime (Règne) "qui tue les mouches et déguste en cachette des fruits juteux". Underneath her bourgeois facade, her senses are not yet put to rest. There is the rest of this upstairs/downstairs family, who is visited by a sea captain who learns of a hidden treasure
The storyline of this adult fairy tale is less important than the cinematography and the lyric fairy tale atmosphere that surrounds this movie. My video version runs for 74 minutes and is softcore. A little masterpiece still to be rediscovered.
La soubrette perverse (1978)
very aesthetic and moody erotic movie
Set in a warm sixties design apartment that serves as a kind of mental clinic, 'nurse' Bourdon leads the dance of 'patients'. She seduces them as well as the other nurses. This movie has a very pretty female cast. The cinematography is aesthetic and slightly anarchic, but the movie is above all supported by an oneiric repetitive synthesizer tune. There is practically no story line, but this adds only to the weird atmosphere that characterises this little movie. From the period that Bénazéraf really was an idiosyncratic filmer. Similar movies from him are "l'Homme qui voulait violer le monde' and 'La Planque'.
I guess one could call it a nice example of beautiful eurotrash.
Anita (1973)
two versions exist
As you can notice, this film is both Swedish and french in production; there are two versions of this film that differ considerably; the french version has a logical plot evolution and is more sleazy than the Swedish version. The latter if more moral in tone and has an unlogical plot evolution; it also has less sex(y) scenes. In the Swedish version, the plot line of the young students forming a classical music group is more elaborated (and dull). The french version focuses more on the nymphmaniac addiction; in this version Christina Lindberg tries out a therapy to bring her relief of her addiction. The french version runs for 74 minutes; this makes the plot evolution more compact. The 'solution' of both versions is the same.
For the french version I would give an 8 out of 10; for the Swedish version I would give a 6 out of 10
Omicidio per vocazione (1968)
nice thriller with many unexpected plot twists and up-tempo music
this italian thriller, set in some french village, starts quickly with a man being overridden by a train; his three sisters all have some reason to want his death; the plot develops very unexpectedly, with a new turn about every five minutes; although many killings take place, the whole atmosphere is quite joyous due to the good rock-big band score by Torossi; just nice entertainment
