I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998)
If you are a mindless teenager(tool) see this movie
Being a young person I am ashamed of the garbage my generation will shell out $7 for. Ever since Scream rejuvinated the horror movie the whole scene has gone to hell. ISKWYDLS is corprate garbage specifically designed to generate movey from teens. In the "movie" Julie and some friends are in Hawaii and the fisherman from the first movie is still stalking them. If you want to see a good horror movie rent "Rosemary's Baby" or "Exorcist". Don't be a tool.
Soldier (1998)
I can't even begin to start...
This movie is soooo bad it's quite possibly unbelieveable.
Where do I start? Kurt Russell is a combination of the Universal Soldier/Terminator who is sent to a garbage planet where he defends the local scumbags, kinda like Total Recall and Aliens. It ALL seems to be put together from other movies and is absolutely unwatchable.
This is just another rotten egg in Warner Brothers basket of films, most notably the Avengers.
Holy Man (1998)
Home Shopping version of Network
Network: "I want you to get up, I want you to go to the window and yell, I'm as mad as hell and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
A similar scene takes place in Holy Man where Eddie Murphy asks his viewers to go outside and kiss the grass. Also like Network the choice between the stars health and the future of the Network depend on a executives morals. And many other Network similarities are obvious.
P.S. The movie is not even funny, even though its advertised as a comedy.
Chinatown (1974)
Chinatown a cinematic masterpiece
Roman Polanski's Chinatown is probably the most complicated and most easy to understand movie ever made. Mostly due to Robert Towne's script. You can sit back and be lost in the dialogue and acting. Jack Nicholson gives a great performance as Private eye Jake Gittes, don't underestimate him, in a serious dramatic role he is as great as in a crazy one.
