The boys pick up right where they left off, tripping on mushrooms in jail, turning them into cartoons. They're released because of Jacob's broken neck. Ricky decides to steal a car to get back to the trailer park while Randy and Lahey take the bus.
Lahey is taken away by a shithawk at the bus stop and Randy tries to hunt it down. After giving up, he drinks and Lahey appears as a ghost, telling him to run the park without him.
Ricky street races Cyrus until the cops start following them. Ricky veers into the woods and crashes the car, breaking off Cory's arm and breaking Jacob's neck even worse. They make the excuse they were driving Cory and Jacob to the hospital and they're taken there. Ricky pulls out his gun after they're told to wait, so they visit Sam Losco to fix their Cory's arm.
The Animated Series is a fresh take on the show with so much potential. With no time in between since the Season 12 finale, this is basically Season 13 of TPB. With the legendary John Dunsworth gone, I believe Season 12 concludes the live series. The Animated Series will take the show in a new direction. There's infinite possibilities and crazy scenarios that could never be done if the show wasn't animated. I thought Season 12 was the perfect ending to the show, but The Animated Series proves the boys are just getting started.
