A "Family" show
tushar_gautam20 March 2019
I wrote the word "Family" in inverted comma, because this show is watchable with family. after a long time, there is a TV show on Indian television in which no superstations, no family fight, no negative vibes. This show represents two different cultures of India with sweetness and purity of tradition. I love this sweet show and I hope it will stream a long time on tv like Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma.
Best show on Indian television.

Marathi Gujarati themed Bhakarwadi is a fun watch.
Tejas_Vinda_AITS19 February 2019
This sweet and spicy delicacy that both Marathi and Gujarati folk claim as their own culinary invention, is the mainstay of the new SAB TV comedy of the same name.
The setting is old town Pune, where you have an eccentric, traditional but popular Bhakarwadi shop-owner, Anna Gokhale (Deven Bhojani), who refuses to share the recipe even with his huge family. He is steadfast on his principle of shutting the shop for extended lunch (1pm - 4pm), and lights off by 10.30 pm. We wonder why they don't hire cooks instead of waking at 5.30 am to make their stuff.
On the other side you have the Gujarati Thakkar family who have just come to town with hopes of capturing the snacks market. Mahendra Thakkar (Paresh Ganatra) lives with his better half Urmila (Bhakti Rathod) and daughter Gayatri (Akshita Mudgal).
As expected, Marathi boy will fall in love with Gujju gal. They meet when sweet and caring Gayatri accidently loosens her pet, named Biscuit, into Gokhale wada (house).
Thus the stage is set for fun clashes between the two families.
All in all, Bhakarwadi is a fun watch. Hats Off Productions, the production house is a past master at making light comedy, so this is well within their comfort zone. We just hope that a time could come when Indian TV humour could be more black and layered.

Not liked the divorce celebration episode
payalgupta-369247 December 2019
This serial is very nice, but when Gayatri didn't care about her parents and husband , I don't like that phase. How can she think about drametic divorce scene while it will be a great shock for a daughter's parents. This is giving a wrong direction to the Indian culture by showing a divorce on such a big level like a celebration. This current episode also spoil the serial image.
Excellent show with superb humour

An excellent show with very good sense of humour. After some time, the show became little boring especially after 7 years leap, it's like a typical indian show still it had quite good sense of humour especially of Urmila, Anna, Mahendra and Bharati. Sadly the show went off air within one and half years only.
Request to make or start a serial similar to bhakarwadi

When this serial started it was amazing the whole serial was amazing but again and again separating gayatri and Abhishek was little bit sad I watch this serial every year
But as soon as the serial ends I start praying to god that it starts again I know that the story line was not good but I have a good storyline like Gayatri losses her memory and a rich family keeps her like their daughter and once she comes to Mahadev pet and Abhishek and Gayatri start loving each other again. I want this serial tstart again but with the same character no changing.this serial is a emotion. I never get bored while seeing this serial. Pls start this serial again pls pls.

Funny throughout! Even though repetitve, I love the way each character makes us laugh in their unique way 😍 especially Urmila behen 😂 "aap bhi kyun baal ki khaal nikaalne baithte ho", "Haan, Hasmukh bhai" 😂 and the friendship between Anna bhai and Mahendra ❤
