It's still fun, sort of addicting, but getting way out of head. All over the place. It's trying to widen from the limited corridors of the psych ward but the entire purpose is the claustrophobic feel of being stuck inside there, like in the film Cuckoo's Nest and AHS Season 2: Asylum, which this derives from more than the 70's film...
There was a scene in the previous episode, The Dance, where the doctor tries hypnotizing the old ugly Nurse Bucket to not want to go to the dance with him, and it doesn't work. It was hilarious, and this show needs more of that. Not humor as in ha-ha-funny but... even Breaking Bad could be hilarious along with gritty/edgy.
This thing just takes itself too seriously and doesn't know when or where to find relief through all its mazy melodrama. The whole Bonnie and Clyde thing is a bit contrived, especially being that the young psychopath cannot act very well and seems to be doing an impersonation of whatever films Ryan Murphy gave him to study for the role (ironically, a lot of times he looks like when Pyle's gone crazy in Full Metal Jacket, and that actor plays the Governor)...
And although Sarah Paulson has aged pretty well, she doesn't look the age she's supposed to be here. Her brother is supposed to be her age and he looks 20 years younger.
