AXES and Allies

Another fine episode. The sharp dialogue and acting always puts Billions ahead of the other shows . I love that Axe and Chuck are now looking out for each other's interests. This season is moving in the right direction. All the characters are written into the show very well , and all their back stories are explained very well with just enough time focused on each one of them to fit into the plot when the time is right. Love this show !!

Running out of energy

I've loved Billions but it feels like it's running out of energy and ideas. I guess the "chicken man" was an idea but not a particularly interesting one. But the characters have lost their nuance that made this show interesting in the early seasons - Bobby is now all about destroying Taylor (making money is apparently not a priority anymore), Wendy is all about supporting Bobby - her only moral conflict seems to be whether Chuck gets more S&M - Wags has become a ridiculous toady, and Chuck misses his sessions. Meh - hope the rest of this season gets better because I'm rapidly losing interest in a show I used to really enjoy.

Unbearable conversations

Painful to watch conversations with Taylor and her father made for a terrible episode. Only redeeming part was Dollar Bill and the Chicken Holocaust.

By the utter loss of innocent, sentient life and the callous, unfeeling way in which hundreds of thousands of innocent birds were destroyed. Billions is a great, edgy series but the horse racing, Ortolan, chicken fiasco all point out the absolute disregard humans have for sentient life. This is real life - the dirty machinations of the animal agriculture industry. Absolutely disgusted!
