Misses out on what makes the first one good
holton-witman22 October 2018
Less suspense and more killing. Characters motivations throughout the film is weak and misguided. Just one example is the cops outside gaurding the house before the finale. No small town cop is going to talk about sandwiches when murders are all around. While this is trivial it is this nonsensical actions of the characters throughout the film that seem to have to happen to bring Lori and Micheal together. If I cared more I'd go into more detail. Better than all the Halloween reboots and sequels. But still just not that great of a movie.

No Experience with Michael Meyers
erikrico22 October 2018
This was my first Michael Meyers movie and honestly i expected it to be kind of a train wreck, half-assed story line, hitting you with too many cheesy jump scares... but honestly, I found it to be a very solid scary movie. I don't know anything about the past movies, but the set up for the plot and how they introduced Michael was actually surprisingly entertaining. There isn't anything overly complicated to grasp about this movie, there isn't too much cringe, (and when there is, it's not too hard to laugh off), i think like all other mediocre scary movies, this movie might have its shortcomings with the writing, the characters being sort of flat, but honestly i think it's pretty well balanced and isn't exceedingly sappy.

Solid sequel
ozzman-7301822 October 2018
I'll start by saying I was 3 when the original came out. I grew up with Michael. I anticipated this film ever since I heard of John carpenters involvement...that being said, the score is top notch and the mask is great. Unfortunately, it lacks the suspense the first one had, some characters are not needed or giving a chance to develop. Plot is when what you'd expect from the Halloween series. Anyway without spoilers I'll say it's a strong sequel..

The Return Of Laurie Strode!
sputum_man22 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I'll start by saying I don't exactly like when the cinematic universe makes a movie that completely ignores its sequels, but this one works... But you have to accept this one is the ONLY Sequel to the original film before you go see it.

This movie is told from a view point of someone who has spent the last 40 years reliving the night her friends were savagely killed by her brother, Michael Myers. She returns in this film a completely different character. She's grown up, she stronger, smarter, and she's lethal. Spending the past 40 years preparing for the day she has to face him again. And face him, she will!!!

After the original film, Michael has spent the past 40 years in Smith's Grove Saniterium. And like every other film he somehow escapes and brings havoc to the town of Haddonfield. Only Laurie can stop him for good. Who will survive?

What a perfect way to end the series!!!

Very disappointing after the long waiting suspense
pas-6050422 October 2018
Too much gorey not enough story! And for those of us that have been die-hard fans watching since it All Began what happened between 20 and 40 years? In H2O.. Jamie Lee Curtis had a son. She fell off a building and died in Redemption. And now she has a daughter and a granddaughter and no son? One of the best parts of enjoying movies is a good story. This one is seriously lacked and paid no tribute to the 40th year anniversary by not paying attention to the details of the past.

Very disappointing.....
turbotaurus23 October 2018
I'm a huge fan of the Halloween movies, but this one in particular just didn't do anything for me. The characters looked lost and confused, even Michael looked out of place! And if I'm not mistaken, I think the producers even gave him a white beard!! Ahhhh whatever.... Bottom line is that the movie was very slow, and quite frankly, just not good at all.

Not that great
cballard-5927722 October 2018
I love, I mean love to get scared by Michael, but in this version of Michael, nothing, I wasn't scared at all. Michael usually walks very slowly to his victims, which to me makes him even more scary, in this movie, he walks really fast and they changed the mask, you CAN'T change an iconic main part which helps to make him scary. I was really disappointed

meh.. lo-ween

So i guess the writer saw T2 and decided Laure Strode was Sarah Conner now. This film is slow and not very entertaining. no magic or scares. i thought theyre would be some interesting reason why they decided to do this film like a great twist or something but nothing you havent seen before. just a boring film that doesnt add anything wrothwhile to the legacy of Halloween. even the Rob Zombie version was more entertaining than this. see it once and youll probably never watch again. Tho ill pay to see Jamie Lee Curtis in whatever tho as she is great given what they gave her scriptwise. but everyone else is just meh..
