You can tell Cem Yilmaz tried a new thing. I don't think the point was to create suspension about the end of the film but just to entertain the audience. In my opinion these movies got bad ratings because the general audience had expectations of a story that would blow their minds, I don't think Karakomik is that. It kind of feels like two art school short movies though. Also some of the effects were not great. But overall a very funny movie to watch with friends and I hope he continues to make these kinds of experimental movies.

Good in a lot of ways

At first movie was going very enjoyable, then it became dud when things started to feel too unrealistic. Even on the unrealistic end, movie wasn't a very bad sci-fi parody itself, though it was still very hard to really like the film because of the ending. It was too unsatisfactory.
By the way, for some reason I liked the products replacements, I always do and this one was well made. I googled that refrigerator and loved it. It does not disturb the flow of the film or anything, I would add it on the plus side.

WORST MOVIE I'VE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE
meret9017 November 2019
I've watched more than a thousand movies but this is the one. this is the worst film ever.
no plot, no jokes, tons of crap...
it seems Cem Yilmaz tried to make a "Arrival" parody but screwed up.
i have to write this capital:" THERE IS AN ADVERTISEMENT SCENE " there is a whole scene for advertisement of a refrigerator.
wtf man?
there is no plot. however, there is no theme of parody either.
i just sit and wait to film end. And film ended with a cheesy message and a twist.
it is not a film. it is just a some old dudes enjoying making a movie.
it is a disgrace to cinema.

Kaçamak, the medium-length film, is more funny than the other film in the series. A group of four goes to Kömlük to be a slack for a weekend and events are developing. For those who watch Cem Yilmaz's previous movie G.O.R.A, this fantastic comedy movie may be a bit disappointing. The film, which is at a sufficient level in terms of production, decor and visual effects, cannot show the same competence in terms of the end of the film.
It's not Good.

Another alien movie from the best comedian

Warning: Spoilers
Unfortunately, GORA is still Turkey's one and only decent space movie, this one is not as funny as GORA but still does the job and annoys enough those who hate alien movies. :)) I love sci-fi movies a lot but I like this one even more because Cem portrays aliens as not monstrous creatures on the contrary a peaceful, kind and humane neighbor of ours from other galaxies. The movie made me think maybe we are the monstrous ones that's why aliens do not make themselves visible yet. I hope one day we become better humans and establish relationships with the other civilizations in space. The end of the movie was a great relief for my conscience. Extra kudos to Cem Yilmaz for that amusing justice. P. S. I showed my mother the refrigerator in one of the most hilarious scenes of Turkish movies in Kacamak and she ended up purchasing that exact refrigerator thanks to Cem. :)
Could be much better...

What is missing is a plausible plot. The buddies looking for a weekend escape from their boring city life to a wellness spa could be quite interesting with some unfolding twists and strong players. But a spaceship and cliche American intervention with B class players, shallow and cheesy progress pushed the movie to a different lower category. Waste of money and time and other resources like some good players.

Totally underrated

What i see is Cem Yilmaz has matured and surpassed the reasoning and understanding of his comedy-time audience, which is one of the reasons people started to dislike his makings. That he created this Comidark series is another indicator of his maturity but this also causes loss of his fan mass which mostly enjoyed his not-so-memorable stand-up shows and light comedy movies.
arrival

To understand this movie and laugh the jokes you should watch 'arrival 2016' first. most of the jokes or the scenes directly goes to that movie. the first half the movie was not that good but the second half was hilarious.
Ignore the reviews!!!

Great movie but not a comedy at all
kaptrec6 January 2020
If you want to laugh a lot like the other Cem Yilmaz movies, "Kacamak" wouldn't satisfied you. But if you're looking for a good movie in every kind of character performance, subject influence and smart scenes as every Yilmaz fan ask for, then you'll like this movie. I think Yilmaz shouldn't care what people say about his new style and latest products; I like his view of the cinema and would like to see those kind of movies more.
Don't trust the ignorant comments and ratings, it's great.

People watched this expecting to laugh. They thought it was a comedy but even though it was comedic, it was a science fiction movie with very well written realistic characters. I enjoyed it a lot because unlike almost every late Turkish comedy movie, it didn't have stupid, unfunny jokes with cuss words. It wasn't about dumb, unrealistic, over romantisized fake love stories or fake mafia stories with guns. It actually has a strong message about one of the things that are wrong about humans. But it wasn't really a surprise to see many didn't really get those messages. I think the main reason is our people don't read enough, don't think and dream enough. Simply they can't see beyond the horizon, can't see the bigger picture. This was a very fun, creative little movie.
