Exclusive: Jackson White (Tell Me Lies) has been tapped to star opposite Lily James in the upcoming film inspired by the story of Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, from 20th Century Studios and Ethea Entertainment.
While it’s not entirely clear who White will be playing, we’re told he’s set for the part of Herd’s love interest. The untitled feature goes into production this year.
Famously launching the online dating platform Bumble after co-founding and departing Tinder, Herd became one of the youngest self-made billionaires at age 31, when Bumble went public in 2021. While she stepped down as CEO last year, the app continues to be hugely popular amongst the single crowd.
Plot details for the film remain vague, as it’s said to be somewhat loosely inspired by Herd’s story. Rachel Lee Goldenberg will direct from her script written with Bill Parker and Kim Caramele, with...

Our time-traveling adventure begins anew with The Way Home Season 2 Episode 1 (don't forget to click that link for a full recap).
The premiere, though, was actually devoid of said traveling, providing more of a jumping-off point for the next phase to begin.
It’s clear the pond is not done with this family, and no matter how hard they work to stay away, only nature itself can prevent them from taking a dip.
“The Space Between” reminds us of how it all works.
First of all, weather is a factor, as Kat and Alice soon found out. You can’t jump into the pond without knowing if you’ll be trapped under the ice forever.
There are dangers involved with time travel, even through a local family pond.
At this point in the story, at least, the pond acts as a linear portal through time. To jump in the pond...

Pet Sematary has been sequelized, rebooted, and now with the arrival of Pet Sematary: Bloodlines it has a prequel. Adapting Stephen King’s works for the screen is a risky enough proposition, creating new stories based on them even more so as anyone whose seen a few Children of the Corn sequels or reboots can attest. King himself however seems to be happy with this film and tweeted:
“In the book, this is the story Jud Crandall tells Louis Creed to try and dissuade him from using the Pet Sematary,” wrote King. “The screenplay takes a few liberties, but it’s a fine story. David Duchovny is excellent. The secret, as always, is caring about the characters.”

The new year is continuing apace at Hulu. The streamer’s list of new releases for February 2022 is highlighted by one very interesting project.
Pam and Tommy is set to premiere on Feb. 2. Perhaps the Groundhog Day release date is intentional as the show will cover a particular moment of celebrity, sex, and exploitation from the early ’90s that seems to have repeated itself over and over. Sebastian Stan and Lily James star as Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson and the series follows the events and fallout of their homemade sex tape being stolen and unleashed on a nascent internet. If nothing else, getting the promo photos of Stan and James as the ’90s stars was worth it.
