There are some aspects of the story line not very Austen: I could do without the sex scenes, though the floor on this one was hilarious.Though it's meant to drive the subplot, it's not needed. Also, the London scenes were very dramatic, including a carriage chase, but why we had to go to a "brothel" to chase Miss Lambe down, and expose our fair maiden to more degredation is beyond me. Too many modern sensibilities. And a criticism of the sound editing, couldn't hear what Charlotte said upon exiting said brothel, too much background noise, it's happened a couple of times in the series. Finally there was the famous Austen dance scene that was just lovely, the chemistry between the two leads luscious, in the time honored fashion. The choreography and music was grand. We've got love triangles and now a quadrangle, and changes in Sydney. It's fun, it's Austen-like, and for those of us who are fans, it's great to have a new story, though it resembles old ones more than she would probably have done. Hanging in for the last two episodes.
