Alfred Pennyworth lives on Micklewhite Avenue - Maurice Micklewhite is the birth name of Michael Caine, who played Alfred in the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy.
"Alma Angela Cohen (19 May 1932 - 26 October 1966), known professionally as Alma Cogan, was an English singer of traditional pop music in the 1950s and early 1960s. Dubbed the "Girl with the Giggle in Her Voice", she was the highest paid British female entertainer of her era."
As Alfred drives off at the close of the episode, we hear the song "Bring Me Sunshine', which was the signature tune of Britain's most popular comedy duo, Morecambe & Wise, who would have been a mainstay on television in the (alternative history) period depicted here. In this instance, however, the version we hear is sung by Brenda Lee.
Alma Cogan was a popular British pop singer in the 1950s and early 1960s who died prematurely at the age of 34 of stomach cancer.
