The Erotic Cuisinart
The concept of the "loop carrier" is not uncommon in vintage porn - it was a quick way of assembling a feature out of pre-existing material, generally by stringing a few loops into a package by adding dubbing and a barebones wrap-around. While such films traditionally use a set number of loops in their entirety, BOYPOURRI changes the formula, slicing and dicing them into oblivion.
After a strange opening credit sequence consisting of the opening titles for THE MEAT RACK superimposed over a still-frame of some pots (huh??), the film dives into its wraparound, which itself seems to be a repurposed loop featuring a couple guys flipping through a book in a kitchen. A narrator informs us one of the men is an experienced hustler and is inducting a friend to the profession. The rest of the film comprises his tutorial.
The film is divided into sections (six according to the narrator, though I think I only counted five): rimming, oral sex, anal, what looks like more anal (though may just be cumshots) and, strangely for a capper, solo (how would this be useful for hustling, and why is it saved for last?). The footage is all repurposed from loops, with the difference being that it's been excerpted like a modern clips tape. For example, the section on fellatio features nothing but cocksucking, and as soon as anyone moves to do something else, it's on to the next clip. Often this leaves segments as short as a few seconds, resulting in a bewildering collage of fornicating bodies. The viewer barely has time to get his bearings before it's on to the next clip. It's strangely prescient of the Internet in its ceaseless barrage of random erotic stimuli, and for those who enjoy being bombarded with such images, maybe it'll do the trick. For me, however, it was a total non-starter.
