All throughout Safe has been exceptional, quality from the very start, it's crime drama with a difference, it's complex, thought provoking, intelligent, thrilling, arguably the best thing I've watched since Series one of Broadchurch.
The Question was always going to be, did the series end on a high, or as is so often the case, was it a disappointment.
Resoundingly, this finale was a resounding success, every single thing you hoped for was delivered, and then some. It was intense, gripping, dramatic, thrilling, all you want in a thriller. For once, a drama ends with all the questions answered, no loose ends. Very brave, very bold.
Michael C. Hall has shone the whole way through, Part eight gives Amanda Abbington a real chance to show off her brilliance, that she does.
The story was deep, but easy to follow, when I watch a Silent Witness I always come away scratching my head, I love watching them, but don't always understand, Safe left me in no doubts.
I'm so glad to see such a brilliant series end with this, it deserved to, exceptional.
