- TriviaBoth admirals share last names with real U.S. Navy admirals, Halsey (William F. Halsey, WWII fame) and Perry (Oliver Hazard Perry, who won the Battle of Lake Erie in the War of 1812, and his brother Matthew C. Perry who opened up trade with Japan). Robert Peary, whose name is a near homonym, led the first successful North Pole Expedition in 1909.
- GoofsWhen the Krill shuttle crashes into the Orville's shuttle bay, it is met by a team consisting of Commander Grayson, Dr. Finn, Lt. Malloy, and Lt. Keyali. Keyali is head of security, Grayson is first officer, and Finn is chief medical officer. All 3 are appropriate crew members to send into an unknown and potentially dangerous situation where there may be casualties. Malloy is the ship's helmsman. Not only is there no reason for him to have gone there, but he would be needed on the bridge during a tactical situation like the one the Orville found itself in ta that moment. He was only included in the group so that he would recognize his old friend who'd been piloting the shuttle.
- Quotes
Cmdr. Kelly Grayson: Admiral, what do you want us to do?
Admiral Perry: You're to rendezvous with the Krill vessel Davoro'kos in 12 hours at Tarazed Three.
Cmdr. Kelly Grayson: The Davoro'kos.
Admiral Perry: Yes. It means "Bringer of Blood".
Capt. Ed Mercer: Oh, that's cool.

Fantastic writing, engaging visuals, likeable, believeable characters
What more could you ask for in a hybrid comedic space opera? I thought they burned all their creative fuel on the previous story arc "Identity," typically the episode following an arc in sci-fi serials tends to be rather weak. And yet the Orville delivers even more class A entertainment as the tenous relationship between the Krill and the humans hangs in the balance.
Just got back from watching Captain Marvel and all I kept thinking on the way home was, if anything deserves a proper Motion Picture, it's the Orville, because there's a lot of turkeys out there on the big screen right now.
I know it will probably never happen, but I believe Orville:The Motion Picture would be truly amazing. Imagine an epic fight between the K-lons the Krill and the humans in Real 3D and Dolby 7.1. *Boom*
