One of the dignitaries said "It's like bringing Crimson to the Yale Bowl", Crimson refers to Harvard, and Harvard and Yale are very prestigious Universities which are very selective of who joins their student bodies.
The mercenary sniper is based off a real life unknown sniper involved in the Iraqi insurgency, he was given the nickname Juba by US forces, some in the intelligence community believed Juba to be a group of snipers working together. Juba first became known in November of 2005 when a video of a masked sniper using a Dragunov sniper rifle to kill American soldiers was uploaded to the Sunni Insurgent group Islamic Army's website. The video starts with a masked man saying "I have nine bullets in this gun and nine presents for President Bush, I will now kill nine American soldiers for the entire world to see. God is great. God is great"; the video then shows nine American soldiers being shot from ranges between 200 and 1000 meters. Three more videos were posted by the end of 2008, all were similar, though the last one showed "Juba" training a group of insurgent snipers, commenting that he is using the book "The Ultimate Sniper" to train his men, which was written by Major John Plaster, a Green Beret that served with the US Army's 5th Special Forces Group during the Vietnam War and is considered to be one of the most skilled snipers in history. The deaths of at least 50 US servicemen were credited to the individual(s) known as Juba.
Juba was also the inspiration for the insurgent sniper codenamed "Mustafa" in the film American Sniper (2014), which is based off the life and career of Chief Special Warfare Operator Chris Kyle. Chief Kyle was a Navy SEAL sniper with SEAL Team 3 during the Iraq War, with 150 confirmed kills over his career Chief Kyle is considered to be the deadliest sniper in the Iraq War and is one of the most decorated snipers in US military history.
