As if relationships weren’t already so complicated, in Hollywood, it is a completely different level of mess. From lies to secrets to cheating scandals, every other fairytale couple in Tinseltown has been through that and more. Especially if it is a high-profile case, the whirlwind leaves a few rumors behind in the dust. The highly publicized Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt split is a great example of that, where Pitt was once linked with Fallout star Ella Purnell.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Back when Jolie and Pitt’s separation was fresh in the air, tabloids were busy sniffing out any possible names that led to the break up of Hollywood’s once favorite couple. And one of the rumors hit Purnell smack in the face, when it was reported that she and Pitt were getting it on together.

The Sandman, Netflix’s long-awaited adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s comics, starts “in the waking world, which humanity insists on calling the ‘real’ world, as if your dreams have no effect upon the choices you make,” the main character, Morpheus, tells us at the top of the series’ premiere.
As we watch a raven follow a horse-drawn carriage and then fly off to another, otherworldly realm, Morpheus — aka Dream, aka Lord of The Dreaming, aka King of Dreams, aka about a zillion other names — adds, “There is another life that awaits you when you close your eyes and enter my realm.

“Yellowjackets” alum Ella Purnell has spent her career “trying to find the right balance” when it comes to her appearance onscreen.
“You can’t be too strong, you can’t swear, you can’t wear short skirts,” Purnell told The Independent. “You can’t be too sexy because they won’t respect you, but you can’t not be beautiful because then they think you don’t have value. Yellowjackets, Showtime’s new survival drama debuting Sunday (10/9c), chronicles the girls’ “descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later,” the show’s official logline reads.

The first television project from Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, two of the producers behind “Narcos” and “Narcos: Mexico,” is nearly here. The duo’s “Yellowjackets” series is slated to premiere November 14 on Showtime.
The premium network recently revealed the trailer for the upcoming 10-episode survival drama, along with the official description:
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, “Yellowjackets” is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
The series’ trailer aptly plays on the disparate themes of “Yellowjacket.

Showtime’s upcoming survival drama “Yellowjackets” put its young cast through the ringer, forcing them to confront tough environments and psychologically taxing scenarios to tell the story of a girls soccer team whose plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness.
The “Lord of the Flies”-esque series unfolds across two timelines, with the teenage version of the central cast trying to survive in the wilderness and their fully grown selves attempting to piece back together their lives 25 years later. The drama, led by Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey and Tawny Cypress, is described as “equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama.”
“We knew we didn’t want this to be a show about what happened, but about why it happened,” series co-creator Ashley Lyle said, previewing the show during a Television Critics Association panel on Wednesday. “And so we figured the best way to do that...

Byron Bowers (Concrete Cowboy) and Tom Sturridge (Sweetbitter), in a recasting, have joined Alicia Vikander in HBO’s Irma Vep, a limited series based on Olivier Assayas’ 1996 feature film.
The series, loosely based on the film, will be written and directed by Assayas and produced by the team behind HBO’s Euphoria: A24, Sam Levinson and Kevin Turen.
Feature film Irma Vep starred Maggie Cheung as herself and Jean-Pierre Leaud as a middle-aged French film director. It screened in the Un Certain Regard section of the 1996 Cannes Film Festival.
The series, which is set against the backdrop of a lurid crime thriller, follows Vikander’s Mira, an American movie star disillusioned by her career and a recent breakup who comes to France to star as Irma Vep in a remake of the French silent film classic, Les Vampires. Mira struggles as the distinctions between herself and the character she plays begin to blur and merge.

Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman is one of the most well-regarded comics of all time. 75 issues were released between 1989 and 1996 telling the story of the Endless, an immortal family that personifies basic elements of reality. The focus is on the Lord of Dreams (aka Morpheus/Dream/The Sandman), whose journey takes him across history, through weird dimensions and into hell itself. Many attempts have been made to adapt it over the years, but Netflix has succeeded where everyone else has failed and the show has now been filming for two months.
The strange thing is that we still don’t know much about it. Right now, the only things we can say for certain is that it’s happening, that Gaiman is involved and that the initial season will adapt the first book. What remains a mystery is who’s starring in it, which is intriguing, as Netflix tends to...

There's lots of data that execs look at when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series. The ratings for initial airings don't play as large a role as they do on commercial stations but they are still an indication of how popular a show is. Here's an updated listing of the recent/current...
