After running away from the black wolf into the house, June runs through several divisions. When she walks through a door to the room where she met Hannah in the previous episode, we do not see the doll on the floor where it had been left. Immediately following, we see the doll placed in the chair, where it wasn't in the previous cut either.
The gun that June finds is a side by side 12 gauge shotgun, commonly used for hunting birds and small prey, or trap/skeet shooting. The scene where she points it at the Waterfords seems to imply she is considering killing them. However, at the distance she was from them the BBs from the shot gun would at most break the skin but no more. It would hurt them but not kill them.
Towards the end the viewer sees June fire the shotgun in the air four times. A 12 gauge shotgun even if it's loaded with bird shot and not the usual buckshot, will still recoil when the gun powder is ignited upon firing. However, June's shoulder hardly moves, if at all, when she fires the gun. A person of her size would definitely feel a kick when firing the rifle, and their shoulder would visibly be pushed backward.
