The reviews that are submitted here are a disgrace. Personally, individual episode reviews are totally different than seasons. It's to get a feel for the direction of the next episode. Imo people who dislike this show in general!! Yes, sure Express yhow you feel about the episode but clearly you're not a fan of the series with the examples of said reviews here.
When I watch a TV series that I like, I always check to see the reviews of certain episodes. Maybe its next and i want to see what's around the corner. Maybe I want to see why its graded so high or low and see what the reviews say. Maybe I want to confirm the positive feelings I have for the show. But if I'm deep into a series and still see episode reviews hating the series I know they have an agenda.
Why is it so hard to believe they're people out there that simply enjoy a TV series and like on reviewer said, he thought it was a masterpiece. So what? He thought the episode was incredible and another thought it was bad I can understand both views and think their fair until it goes on to the negative speaking about how much they dislike the season overall.
I'm just guessing but I think more fans want to read episode reviews and gauge how a fan of the series felt if it was bad or good rather than someone who immediately dislikes it who is going to rate it a 1 from the start. Its believable to rate a lot of episodes a ten because I'm someone who rates very harshly.
There are times, however that a series shines so bright that I celebrate by the reward i was bestowed upon watching it and I'm in awe of what ive just seen and rate it a 10 because the episode couldnt have done anything better to improve it. Thats a ten for an episode to me. A flawless episode. Season 2 has gotten several from me.
This is the lowest I have rated this series and an 8 is very good still.
Someone said it didnt advance the plot???? We watched a different episode. It greatly did unfortunately that person needs to watch it once or two more times. Not to sound pretentious. It's just that this series requires its fans to...not viewers!!...to pay attention to the details and listen. It's very cerebral. How someone can say John hamm narration is the worst part about this season boggles my mind. Are you listening to what hes saying?? It's not a commercial, hes dropping knowledge on us. Theories are formed from what he says. That's the funnest part because hes describing the twist about the series and what it involves.
Professor x was mentioned this episode of more fairly eluded to towards the shadow king. "Is the Professor here?"
We got to see the memories of arent they? Of the man in the basket. He is told that he knows all the secrets and his mind cant be read. A procedure is done to his brain. The hand with the finger is pointing to the building like it dead when the monk jumped from it that night. But also, the place David needs to go is shaped like the same hand and finger that appears in the desert but then disappears.
It seems like when David first talked to syd, that timeline may have been after she met the shadow king and thats why she tells David to help him find his body? Just a prediction. If I read further reviews I could be wrong or read 1 star reviews that arent helpful.
What I'm trying to say is these episode reviewa should be helpful, good review or bad, as long as the person doesnt dislike the show because then they're not helpful to someone who relies on them. By all means review the show saying how much you dislike it but at least let the fans use the episode reviews to guide fans that watch.
I'm not a fanboy I just started this series and know relatively nothing about the comics but the obvious. I dont know about the villains or arcs in the comics. I think this may even be the most unique way a superhero story has ever been told before and is totally groundbreaking in the way that theres not many shows that provide the same celebral effect this series provides. Just ask twin peeks David lynch when it first aired. The show wasnt surreal like it is now at the time. The return has much more in common with legion imo though.
Stop hating on the fans that love this show because they get it. If this review wasnt helpful then hit no, but I know it is to the fans. There is story behind the substance you just have to look past the smoke and mirrors. I do think bingeing has made it easier than weekly viewers to appreciate how special this show is.
This episode was a bit slower. The slowest of the season but not in a negative way. This is my least favorite episode and it still gets an 8 from me. However, I think it's of unpopular opinion when I say I love season two and think it is as good as season 1! I'm note being paid?????? I'm just a fan that is passionate because finally something on TV gets me and I get it. I like celebral shows and movies and critical thinking. I'm not one to play with my phone while watching a series. When I'm watching a TV episode and it goes by quick and I barely blink I know its special and thats what this show does.
Not this episode however. It's good but can improve. There is plot advancement and it gives you a feeling that the series is going to finish very strongly with the final two episodes. I think now with this episode and what I've seen from the next, this is where the show is taken a breath and collecting its self and we're about to hit insane final episodes with the last two!!!
