An amazing look inside the greatest superhero film ever
EderR2821 August 2018
On the outside, it's your typical behind the scenes documentary, but it meant so much more, and you could tell. Overall it was just a very interesting look into making my favorite film of all time. It covered areas from casting to score development, and even stunt coordination. Each aspect was remarkable. What I appreciated most from it was the commentary from the cast & crew, you could tell they did not want this movie made unless they knew it would/could be remarkable. They wanted to change how the genre is perceived and prove it could carry an emotional weight that was previously unimaginable by superhero blockbuster standards. They worked their asses of and loved every minute of it, and it shows. It's crazy to think that even after 17 years as these characters, Hugh and Patrick Stewart were able to bring new elements to them and give them an emotional depth unheard of in other superhero films. Enough can't be said about Dafne Keen, she was 9 years old when filming started for such an emotionally and physically demanding role. Her future is as bright as any young actor's. I found myself smiling and laughing at the behind the scenes action knowing that the film they would soon release would later be the greatest viewing experience of my lifetime to date. I'm sure the casual viewer would simply say this was a cool and fun look into a great film, but to someone as committed and passionate about the film as I am, it was just amazing to see the work behind a film so heartbreaking and beautiful. If you've read this far, I'm sorry for wasting your time I just really love "Logan".
