Cool!

I think that it's a good idea to involve the fans in the show to this degree. It also puts a fun spin on the program.

We enjoyed the different art styles. Pretty hilarious! And the storyline held up to standards.

Great Episode, Great Community Reach!
deannahob28 April 2020
I am a huge fan of Bob's Burgers (I watch it all the time, all of the seasons). I especially loved this episode and would consider it to be one of my top all time favorites! My friends and I are even planning a Brunchsquatch brunch party (burgers, mimosas, this episode playing, etc!). The use of fan art really showed the commitment to connecting with fans and the Bob's Burgers community. While I do understand how it could have been hard to watch at times with the quick transitions between styles, I think it was worth it to demonstrate the range in which the animators are capable of and the strength in the plot to be able to withstand any visual distractions. Overall, I loved the episode, the use of fan art, and the idea of Brunchsquatch in general!

Yum!

I loved this episode and it is one of my favorites. I loved that made an episode animated by fans. Yes, it was a little confusing when I first watched it. But that made it more interesting to me. I researched the episode and watched again.

This episode was amazing!

I for one like the plot both A and B, and the changing animation styles really made the episode stand out! Even though this episode got backlash for that very reason, it shows why we don't have many adult animated shows. That's why this episode is special to me. I get to see some of the styles I see on YouTube brought to one of my favorite animation domination series.

Not a fan of the fanimation
captaintetanus28 January 2023
I wish they'd redo this one with regular animation. It's a good episode but while the fan animation thing is a cute idea, it's super distracting. Some of the animation is good and some bothers me because these are characters I know, and they look creepy and deformed strangers. Then they change every minute or so. I can't help but focus on the animation.

So I usually try to just listen to this episode. I often watch these while I work (self employed) so while this one plays I tend to go work on the computer or take pics. I'm watching it this time. This section of the show, everyone has really prominent teeth. There was just one where noses didn't match faces. Now their heads are gross and gigantic. This plot deserves regular animation. I'm so glad they only did this once.

Amazing creative concept!!
xlightcap-9837917 May 2023
Really loved this episode, so it was shocking to see everyone upset at the changing art style. I thought it was endlessly creative and endearing, especially knowing how much the bobs burgers crew appreciates their fans.

Some art styles are better than others, but i thought they were all well done and really interesting. The episode itself is kind of just like any other episode, but i felt the art style really raised my enjoyment a few notches. I loved seeing how different the art style would be scene to scene, and i was never disappointed.

I'd really love to see other shows do this, and consider me officially in love with this concept.

Not that bad guys
casey-facebook21 September 2020
Yeah I agree the changing styles was a bit distracting from the story, but it wasn't a great plot to begin with so no biggie. I thought it was cool seeing all the different animations. Each time a scene cut you never know what you're about to get. I think it was a very fun idea. Not a very good episode, definitely kitschy but interesting. Not as bad as some others are making it.

Fan art isn't great

The fan art makes this episode uncomfortable to watch and distracts from the show.

Didn't Work for Me, You Might Differ
jethrojohn12 August 2022
I couldn't even finish this episode. While I love the idea of a fan art inspired episode, it would have been cooler if they'd done it episode by episode, perhaps? Because the inconsistent art style is very hard on the eyes.

It also doesn't help that some of the styles are incredibly visually off-putting. Some work better than others, but some are truly hard to stomach for me personally.

Then again, this is fan service at its most blatant, and that is quite sweet. I'm sure the fans that got their art in the episode were chuffed to see it represented and acknowledged like this.

So, good job on giving the fans some love. I personally will stick with a more consistent animation style.

Fan art was distracting
logostrom11 March 2018
I am a huge fan of Bob's burgers, and was excited to start the 8th season. However, I was very disappointed with the first episode that used frequently changing fan art to animate the episode. The reason that I found the fan art distracting, and the episode poorly done, was that the fan art often lacked the facial expressions that make the Belcher family funny. There were times were I thought, this would be really funny if it had the classic Bob's Burgers facial expressions I'd grown to love, but the fan art was often plain and lacked the emotion that makes each character funny in their unique way. It was like watching a poorly animated, PBS kids, educational cartoon attempt to recreate a Bob's Burgers episode.

WTF?

I deeply hope they never do it again! A very funny episode plot thrown in the garbage by horrible, horrible art. This is what happens when every kid gets a medal...

Boring, uninspired, and just questionable decisions
fullmeasurezam3 October 2017
Boring, just boring. The art style shifts are consistently of poorer quality than the normal show and only serves to distract from the lack of any actual plot. A very disappointing entry from a usually solid show. I have no idea why anyone thought "let's change the art style to low quality for an entire episode" was a good idea.
