Obviously the cast and their friends must have given the ratings. It is a shocking film. Production values are nil, acting and scripts are non existent and camera work is another level of poor. Can't believe I paid £3.49 on prime for this, it was purely due to the stars.

I get what the group of mates were trying to do & that was make a low-budget B-movie like the one's that inspired it like "Escape from New York" & "The Warriors" & "The Toxic Avenger" & "The Bronx Warriors" among many more from that 70's & 80's era but it's so stupid!!!!
The raw way it's filmed is similar to some of those "Troma" films but the gang of thugs are horrible & terrible characters (if u could call them that) & the ridiculous fact that everyone has & can use MOBILE PHONES in the apocalyptic wasteland of England is absolutely Comically ridiculous!!!! Are Networks still running? Is there signal? Do they still pay their phone bills? Lol ridiculous Also they all want MONEY!!!! Absolutely ridiculous again!!!! There's no shops or anything but they all want Cash? Why? What you gonna do with money? Pop to Tesco!!!! Hahahaha absolute Crap.

Oh my days... this is terrible. Terrible acting terrible music terrible script terrible camera work terrible waste of money. I think I could made and produced a better film just using my mobile phone... I wanted give this zero but i werent allowed.

This isnt a 1 star because how hard it is to make a film so they deserve credit.

But i respect anyone who can write, build, make and sell a complete movie.
No this wont win an oscar but imagine what they learnt while making this film. Its not great but I let it play just for the algorithm. As someone else said, its like a poor 70s b movie version of warriors etc.
They all had a real go at making a movie and took it very seriousley. But there are you tube movies that are much better. Nice first try though guys.
Let me say this to all the movie "fan" haters..what was your first driving lesson like? And do you drive your own car now? And a car can kill people.. This is just a movie. So if you learnt to drive why cant these guys learn to make a movie? And the chances of them killing someone is lower than yours...Silly analogy but my point stands.

Ambitious But Not Quite There

This film does some interesting stuff. The soundtrack was surprisingly good and there were a few really enjoyable scenes, the opening one stands out the most to me. The locations used were great at giving the film a grimey British feeling. Unit Eleven however is let down by its bad writing and poor performances. The actors feel like students and the writing often makes no sense. A lot of the dialogue feels like forced "street" talk and a lot is hard to understand due to the accents of the cast which is of course no fault of their own.
Overall I found myself enjoying some parts of the film and being immersed but more often found myself checking the run time to see how long was left. Not the worst film I've ever seen and I would be interested to see what this director could do with a bigger budget and better cast but when it all comes together this film wasn't great, hence why I gave it a 4/10.

Hideous straight to video guff.
Acting is abysmal and the camera work a mess. No idea what the story was about. Very forgettable.
On a slight positive, music is ok and if the director worked with a professional DoP and actors he may have promise.

I've seen some tripe in my life, but by God this is so bad. So bad I Implore you to watch it and see how far you get.

I really wanted to like this film; a made-on -a-shoestring budget British flick which attempts to emulate the 80s vibe of likes of Escape From New York.
The trouble is, it's just awful, and I mean, really, really mind numbingly bad. Again, I love "bad" movies, but Unit Eleven takes the concept to a whole new level.
The production values are, predictably, low, however I suspect a little care taken in post and some colour grading would have helped enormously, although it wouldn't have made up for the high school acting or the comedy makeup.
In a time when it is relatively simple and fairly cheap to produce quality film work, the many excellent YouTube videos out there being a perfect example, to come out with something which would be barely acceptable in an HND Media Studies class beggars belief, though not as much as the fact it ended up on Amazon Prime.

I normally like these kinds of things, zero budget, British, made by genre fans, but this is just awful.
The acting is abysmal, normally adds to the charm of these low grade flicks but in this case it is just awful. Practically zero story either, I think I can see what they were going for but it misses wildly. To be honest I'm not going to Easter any more of my time reviewing this. If you normally enjoy bad movies for being "so bad they're good" then you should not be tempted by this. It is simply terrible.

You may be skeptical about this movie, if your a fan of everything retro, then definately check this out, if your not, then check it out anyway... Awesome plot, action, gore and more... Everyone has a dream and Theo made his come true with this amazing production 👍 Can't wait to see more from this fella!

Unit Eleven feels like a wonderful tribute to them low-budget post-apocalyptic 80's action films that you would find at your local VHS Rental Store. The good old days.
Although the acting and the script is far from polished, the story, action, soundtrack and cinematic's keep you well and truly entertained throughout. Unit Eleven provides me with that long-lost feeling of campy 80's nostalgia, and yet still manages to remain contemporary.
This is British indie filmmaking at its most gritty, giving Unit Eleven a certain type of charm that can't be explained. The achievement of getting a film like this made on such a low budget over a period of many years, is nothing more than legendary.
A fantastic directorial debut. I can only imagine what Theo could produce in the future with bigger budgets and I hope to see much more from him.

Just goes to show what a visionary can achieve without the backing of a mainstream studio.
It's raw, it's gritty, it's emotional, it's British, what's not to love.
Hopefully a studio or promoter will recognise Theo's natural talent.
