You do not ever need to see a single episode of this series in order to appreciate the perfection, beauty, pain and humor of this episode. You will feel transported back in time - perhaps feel a similarity to your own youth as I did as I am the same age as the characters (33) - and go from 1992-2017. Denise handles coming to terms with being gay and her old fashioned mother who actually is just afraid for her. It sounds dark and serious, but it isn't! It is real and so funny and so fresh. And the end is satisfying and comes full circle. The casting was spot on for the younger versions of Denise and Dev. Bravo - I am clapping still. Watch this with your parents, friends, anyone.

Best episode of the series so far

Master of None, is a roller coaster ride. There are some episodes that are absolutely brilliant and then there are few which make you wonder "whats up with ansari". The thanksgiving episode is the best episode so far. It has universal themes like family coming together for festivals every year in spite of going thru ups and downs like any other. The love that keep them through the thick and thin is beautifully portrayed. In such a serious episode, Aziz ansari infuse comedy brilliantly. I was watching this on a flight on my Netflix and could not help myself but laugh out loud multiple times. I love the way the women's characters were written.
So Well Done!

From the beginning to the last shot. Just perfect. The history of two of the main characters even limited to the Thanksgiving holiday was a great insight to Dev and Denise. I rarely rate things ten but when this left me feeling the way it did, I felt compelled to give it its due.
Unrealistic...
