As another M&a opportunity is potentially headed to the scrap heap, Paramount may be left to go it alone.
There’s very little about Paramount Global’s recent ownership question that has gone the way that company officials would want. The special committee designated to consider merger and acquisition opportunities is now working through its second major offer for the company, a $26 billion bid by Sony and its private equity firm partner Apollo Global Management. But a new report from CNBC is casting doubt on whether Sony really wants to follow through with its attempt to purchase Paramount Global, and it appears increasingly likely that the company won’t be sold at all.
Key Details: CNBC’s David Faber reports that Sony is “rethinking” its bid for Paramount Global. Due diligence has not begun, so while deal talks could still heat up, the two sides are not progressing as they would have hoped.

It's been Agatha All Along... all along!
Tonight during Disney's 2024 Upfront presentation, Marvel Studios finally unveiled the premiere date and official title for its upcoming WandaVision spin-off, which is set to hit Disney+ on September 18 with a 2-episode debut.
As speculated, the various different title reveals were just to throw people off (we still don't know for sure if they're the episode names), as the show will indeed be called Agatha All Along.
No trailer, unfortunately, but Marvel did release a teaser promo featuring the earlier titles and a very familiar song.

Marvel did recently share the first footage from the show via a behind-the-scenes featurette, but it didn't reveal very much.
The video spotlighted Kathryn Hahn as the returning sorceress, who was sporting some new duds which look like they might be inspired by her later comic book appearances.

Them: The Scare, the newest entry into the black horror anthology for Prime Video, will blow your mind.
The follow-up to Them: Covenant brings the action forward in a few decades to 1991, where LAPD Detective Dawn Reeve will be embroiled in a case unlike anything she's ever seen.
And soon enough, her family will be affected in ways she never saw coming.
The series, born from the mind of its brilliant creator Little Marvin, has a robust cast. TV Fanatic was blessed to take part in the Them: The Scare press day, where we chatted with stars Luke James, Joshua J. Williams, and Pam Grier.
One of the biggest strengths of the Them: The Scare series is its fantastic cast, which brings this decidedly twisty and scary tale to life.
Luke James, from The Chi fame, steps into the role of Edmund Gaines and gives a scene-stealing performance.

Now a staple of SXSW, this activation included themed sets tied to various Paramount properties, along with drinks, music, and an airbrush tattoo station.
Visitors were greeted by the rustic decor and bar setting, designated installations for each series or movie, as well as photo opps — all of it spanning three floors. There were nods to “The Chi,” “Halo,” “Mean Girls,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” “Lawman: Bass Reeves,” “Survivor,” the NFL and NCAA March Madness, and the upcoming Showtime limited series “A Gentleman in Moscow.” Three bars offered three different signature themed cocktails for visitors to sip while they explore. On Monday March 10, The Lodge will host the premiere of “Star Trek: Discovery” Season 4, a tentpole series for Paramount+ (debuted in the CBS All Access days), featuring cast and crew.
