Screamography: Stuart Gordon (2006)
This thirty-minute interview with director Stuart Gordon is another excellent episode in the Fangoria series. Gordon starts off talking about how he got interested in cinema and this leads to the production of RE-ANIMATOR. Gordon shares some very amusing stories including the hilarious battle with the MPAA. He also discusses what could have been his break through film, HONEY I SHRUNK THE KIDS and the illness that caused him to drop off the project. From here we get into his 90's output including THE DENTIST and EDMUND.
This is another very good episode for the short-running series. One wishes that this had gone on longer than it did but oh well. As far as this episode goes, Gordon is extremely entertaining to listen to and it's fascinating getting to hear about his work with Disney and how different his career might have been had he not gotten ill. He also talks about the Masters of Horror series and the various issues that his episode ran into. There are plenty of great stories told here to make this worth watching.
