This is the first almost thoroughly good episode of The Grand Tour. There was almost no fluff. The race worked, The Conversation Street had actually something that resembled conversation, the guests were good, and the car review was standard good Clarkson quality. The main thing was that they mostly managed to keep the illusion that things weren't completely scripted (besides the blatant product placement in few places and how the plane seating thing played out). Yes, my standards are high, but I really enjoyed this one.

In this episode, Mr. Clarkson drives the Ford GT from Central Park Manhattan to Niagara Fall while Hammond and James use local public transport to reach same place. Clarkson also test drives the new AMG GTR green "color car".

This episode was better than first one seems now show the show is picking its pace.

The race between Clarkson in a super car and Hammond May on public transit was done a few times on old TG already, only the venue changes. Why does Clarkson always need the same result? Personally interesting as we drove that same NYC Niagara Falls route last fall also. I have trouble relating to the unknowns driving the blue Jag, bring back Hollywood stars already! Tom Cruise you are needed. And the new Stig driver should have identified by name.

All the things that M K said, ditto from me.

I felt like I was truly watching the good old Top Gear episode. Please keep all the other episodes too this way. In conversation street, please converse on more car related topics. This episode had car related topics so I loved it. The new celeb racing format is good too.

And please read what M K had said in his review. I dont know why I am writing this but I just want to +1.

Jeremy Clarkson is doing idiotic, silly, stupid jokes like he is 16 and nothing new and interesting at all... he's 57 with an unbelievable awful belly! And I can understand that the score is so high here, because only teenagers would watch these episodes. Why not saying... OK guys, I'm too old, let take another presenter, much younger than me. Please, say that, thank you. 1 for the presenters, 4 for the episode, 9 for the car.
