Something to take the edge off from Rick and Morty withdrawals
jaspersihoe-714208 June 2019
When I first saw this video, I could not stop laughing. Even after watching it at least 5 times, it was still hilarious. It was in the comment section where I discovered this was based on a true event. Not only that it was based on a true story, the lines were from the actual trial verbatim. This made it even more enjoyable. You can even hear Justin Roiland break character with a chuckle when the dialogue was too unbearably funny. I couldn't get enough of this bit. I discovered this long after season 3 was over and it was a treat since season 4 is taking forever to drop. I can't believe the person that gave this a 2 star because of "bad directing" and dialogue when they are unaware that this was from a real trail. I don't know where that person's sense of humor is, or maybe they have something against Rick and Morty.

Excellent work for short teaser
MillerWissen24 August 2016
It's now been a while since season 2 finale and we're still waiting for season 3, this more of a teaser or even a comic relief (if that's even possible) and it really lives up to the expectations, also the whole animation seems to be made rather quickly it's like something they worked on for a day instead of a week or month there's not a lot of motion or details it's all about the audio, and for that the results were really good, also there's plenty of 'rickness' in this episode so true rick fans will love it. Overall i will give this a 10 rating simply because it is not to be taken seriously like an actual rick and morty episode, also the audio is absolutely perfect just like any rick and morty episode. And there's your 10 lines IMDb.

"How can I have grandkids if I don't have any kids?"

Warning: Spoilers
Well, this was a short film consisting of drawings done by the creators of "Rick And Morty". It's based on actual transcript about a man named Denver Fenton Allen. Justin Rioland (who voices both characters) found it and read it word for word. It's hard to imagine that something this insane could be real. I initially thought this was part of an upcoming episode. Instead, it was just a preview for the next season.

Denver Allen was accused of murdering a fellow inmate. In real life, he was sentenced to life imprisonment. Listen to the dialogue and Justin himself is laughing at how ridiculous this situation is. Allen kept insulting the judge and making jokes about killing his family and having sex with him. Yes, all of this really happened. I thought this was just something they made up.

It's hard to imagine this happening in real life, but it did. The judge at least managed to keep his cool for awhile. It took him awhile to actually cuss. He even argues about cussing. My favorite line might have been when Allen said, "Oh so now you're calling me a queer?" to which the judge says, "I didn't call you one. I said you looked like one". ****

I'd be ashamed as a Georgian

Warning: Spoilers
"Rick and Morty: State of Georgia Vs. Denver Fenton Allen" is a 9-minute animated short film from August this year (2016) that has racked up millions of views on Youtube in the 2 months since its release. The director is Erica Hayes and here she brings us a courtroom story. I said before that it's animated, but this is only very vaguely true for this one we have here. They were even too lazy to have the mouths moved for every time a character says something. Other than that, it's the usual for Rick and Morty. Lots of swearing, obscene cussing and insulting. And just like the lack of animation, the "contents" here are probably called a creative decision by the makers. Guess what? In my opinion, this film has absolutely nothing to do with creativity at all. This is not a creative achievement as it does not even fulfill the lowest standards of movie-making. It's not a problem that this is a black-and-white film. The problem is that this is a piece of film that is revolting and offers nothing of memorable value at all. O tempora o mores when this has a 9/10 rating here on IMDb. Definitely one of the weakest animated efforts from 2016, oh wait I mean "animated". Nothing about these slightly under 10 minutes deserves the attention it has received. Stay far far away.
