Based on New Orleans sanitation magnate Sidney Torres and his formation of the French Quarter Task Force, a semi-privatized police force he created to deal with the rise of crime in his neighborhood after Hurricane Katrina.
The show was canceled after 12 episodes.
Loosely based on the "French Quarter Task Force" founded in 2015 by Sidney Torres, a New Orleans waste collection magnate. The private force is composed of off-duty police officers equipped with electric vehicles, who can be summoned with a smartphone app. It works alongside city police instead of replacing them.
The acronym APB stands for "All-Points Bulletin", indicating the ability to report at any moment and at any time about a crime that it be happening at any place.
Oz Scott is in Chicago to direct an episode of APB.
