Kevin Smith has the perfect response to his wife telling him she’s isn’t so fond of him live-tweeting his own AMC talk show, “Comic Book Men.” “It’s not like I’m really part of your demographic, am I?,” Smith recalled his wife, Jennifer Schwalbach, once saying. “And I said ‘you f–k Kevin Smith, man!” Smith’s zinger brought down the house at TheWrap’s TheGrill Special Event at the Montage Beverly Hills Hotel on Tuesday night, where the filmmaker was on hand to introduce his boss, AMC President Charlie Collier. (Smith also co-hosts the AMC late night talk show,...

In The Judas Contract, the Titans – Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle, Robin, and Nightwing – are led by Starfire, but their newest teammate, Terra, is throwing the groups dynamic out of whack, and the team comes up against Brother Blood, an ancient evil, and Deathstroke is waiting in the wings to cause problems as well.

This holiday season, Crackle, Sony’s free streaming service, is giving “SuperMansion” fans a new holiday-themed special titled “SuperMansion: War On Christmas.” Featuring Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Green and Bryan Cranston as Titanium Rex, the actors are joined by guest stars Jim Parsons and Gary Anthony Williams. With less than two weeks until its debut, Crackle released a new sneak peek and poster, which you can check out below.
“War on Christmas” sees the return of The League of Freedom, a dysfunctional group of self-righteous superheroes who can’t agree on anything. According to Mashable, Greg Grunberg (Lost, Heroes, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) has been tapped for a "badass recurring role" on season 3 of The Flash. Apparently he'll be playing a police detective named Tom Patterson, who is described as "a gruff, stalwart figure at Central City Police Department, who is unwavering in his commitment to protecting Central City from the dangerous metas that threaten it." As far as I know Patterson isn't an established DC Comics character, but please correct me if I'm wrong on that. Grunberg will make his debut during next week's "Killer Frost" episode of The Flash, which was directed by his Geeking Out co-host, Kevin Smith.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC on October 23rd and Robert Kirkman is helping promote it on another AMC show, Geeking Out with Kevin Smith and Greg Grunberg. He had some interesting things to say about the ending of both the television and the comic book and how never the twain shall meet. Guesting on Geeking Out, Kirkman addressed a rumor about wanting to end the comic series at the same time the TV series wraps up. His response was a resounding "No." "I hope the show ends and the comic keeps going," Kirkman says of the Image comic he created with artist Tony Moore. "The comic was the comic before the show and so I try to maintain that. Like I know how I want to end The Walking Dead and so I can't tell...anyone because I don't want it on the show before I get it in my comic.

There's no end in sight for The Walking Dead on AMC, and the network has said that they want to try to turn it into a Star Trek-style franchise that has insane longevity. But let's pretend for a second that the show's ratings take a massive dive, and for whatever reason the writers just start pumping out crap season after crap season and the fans completely turn on the show and openly reject it. If that happened, AMC would probably bring the show to an end, and if that goes down, creator Robert Kirkman wants fans to know that the end of the show wouldn't spoil the ending of the comic book because they're going to end in two different ways.
Kirkman appeared on an episode of Kevin Smith's Geeking Out and explained his methodology:
George R.R. Martin collaborated with the Game of Thrones showrunners a while back...

In 1997, New Line Cinema released the superhero film “Spawn,” based on the comic book character created by Todd McFarlane, about murdered special forces agent Al Simmons (played by Michael Jai White) who is resurrected as Spawn, the demonic leader of Hell’s army. Though the film was a modest box office success, it received mostly negative reviews from critics. Now, McFarlane confirms that a new “Spawn” film is currently in the works, and it’s not gonna be a soft-pedaled version of the story either.
In an interview with Tiffany Smith on AMC’s “Geeking Out,” Kevin Smith and Greg Gunberg’s late-night pop culture talk show, McFarlane said that there will be a second film and that it’s “not gonna be a continuation, not gonna be a sequel…scrub the first movie, it was 20 years ago. Yep, Todd McFarlane is still talking about the Spawn movie that he's been developing for years. There's been an awful lot of talk, but no action. I hope one day he does actually get to make this movie, but I'm not holding my breath.
During an upcoming episode of the AMC series Geeking Out, Kevin Smith and Tiffany Smith spoke to McFarlane about the potential film and managed to get some additional information out of him. ComicBook.com got a clip from that episode in which the conversation surrounding Spawn takes place.
McFarlane said a lot of stuff that we've already heard before, like that the film will be a complete reboot and not a sequel to the 1997 film adaptation. He also confirmed that the movie will be rated R and that the script he's written is "scary and "badass." He went on to once again describe Spawn as the Jaws of the movie,...

Co-writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese have confirmed they will return to take point on Zombieland 2, with the sequel now finally beginning to take shape at Sony.
Wernick and Reese, who recently helped craft Deadpool with director Tim Miller, featured on AMC’s Geeking Out with Kevin Smith and Greg Grunberg (via Comic Book), and it was here that the screenwriting duo offered up some early details about pre-production on the apocalyptic follow-up, not to mention that famous Bill Murray cameo from the cult original.

The 2009 horror comedy “Zombieland” is famous for a mid-movie surprise cameo by Bill Murray, a secret many fans of the film voluntarily kept rather than spoil it for other later audiences. Having Murray in the film was not the original plan, however, and almost didn’t happen at all, co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick revealed during a recent episode of “Geeking Out,” the late night AMC talk show hosted by Kevin Smith and Greg Grunberg.

Zombieland was a surprise hit with Sony and the sequel has been in the works for many years, but it seems the Deadpool writers are what will finally get it to screen.
Zombieland released back in 2009 and to the surprise of Sony it was a hit. The low budget zombie infested comedy struck gold with audiences just before Emma Stone and Jesse Eisenberg took off to become major movie stars.
That is why Sony basically green lit the sequel as soon as possible, and adding to the excitement is the fact the entire cast and crew are also onboard. Granted the screenplay is superb.
That is where the snag comes into play. Sony has gone through "dozens of writers" that have tried to pen the script, but nothing has really struck just yet.
The latest update on Zombieland 2 is that writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Rheese are going to return to the project.

It can be easy to forget that Chris Hardwick isn’t the only white, male nerd in AMC’s stable, what with his being recruited for virtually every after-show the network produces. But Kevin Smith’s also set up comic-shop in the same environs—first with his reality series Comic Book Men, then on his all-new, somewhat-different pop culture show Geeking Out. The Yoga Hosers director co-hosts the latter with Heroes alum Greg Grunberg, and each episode features them showing the requisite amounts of enthusiasm over their favorite pop culture. Last night, they talked to Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick about their iteration of the merc with a mouth, and ended up reminiscing about Zombieland.

[Update] Added Kevin Smith's comment and my own response at the bottom of the article 8/17/2016, 2:22 p.m.] I've been harassed online. A lot. Comic-Con weekend marks the debut of new, pop culture themed chat show Geeking Out, hosted by Kevin Smith (who could have another, Comicbook Men like hit on his hands) and Jj Abrams' lucky charm Greg Grunberg. To pimp the very Jason Bourne heavy first episode, the first clip from the show has come our way, and it’s short, sweet, and a hell of a lot of fun with Matt Damon doing cold reads of famous superhero lines from comic books. His delivery of Shazam is reason enough to watch. Check it out below.

Needless to say, fans took his words to heart and have been eager to see if the actor is actually ready to take on a superhero role. Well, it now looks like Damon's interest in the DC Film Universe might have grown in the last few weeks. While on Kevin Smith's upcoming new show Geeking Out, Smith put Damon through the ultimate superhero role test.
