Fire Country has found immense success on Friday nights for CBS.
The firefighting drama stars Max Thieriot from Seal Team (Clay Spenser) and Bates Motel (Dylan Massett). He plays Bode Donovan (Leone).
The network has had lots of success with its NCIS Universe and the trio of FBI shows, so CBS wants to see if a Fire Country spin-off will work.
An upcoming episode of Fire Country is called Alert the Sheriff, and it is a planned backdoor pilot.
If CBS is happy with fan response and how the new characters work within the world of Fire Country, that episode will springboard into a new show called Sheriff Country.
This is called a backdoor pilot, where the characters from a planned show appear first on the primary show. Main characters for NCIS: Los Angeles appeared in a two-episode arc of NCIS, while Chicago P.D. characters first appeared on Chicago Fire for NBC.

Actor Elizabeth Lail is the latest to join the growing cast of Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s, Deadline reports today.
Production is currently underway in New Orleans, with Emma Tammi (The Wind) at the helm of the video game adaptation.
Lail is no stranger to horror and is best known for her performance as Beck in season one of Netflix’s popular series “You,” as well as lead turns in the 2019 horror film Countdown and horror series “Dead of Summer.” She joins previously announced stars Josh Hutcherson (Tragedy Girls, Detention), Matthew Lillard (Thir13en Ghosts, Scream), Kat Conner Sterling (“The Gifted”), and Mary Stuart Masterson (Skin).
While character details remain under wraps, we can at least celebrate that Jim Henson’s Creature Shop has been hard at work on the monstrous animatronics!

Whoa, baby! American Horror Stories delivered its most devilish installment yet with Episode 5, an unsettling hour loaded with demonic scares, table-turning surprises and, of course, plenty of NCIS references.
The episode centers around Liv (Billie Lourd) and Matt (Ronen Rubinstein), a married couple desperate to have a baby. Well, she’s desperate for one. He’s just supporting her dream of motherhood dream because she has always supported his barely-there acting career, which mostly consists of glorified extra work on shows like NCIS. (Side note: I think we can all agree that NCIS is real villain of this episode.)

Lifetime’s You is a tale as old as time: Boy meets girl, boy saves girl from an oncoming subway train, boy becomes dangerously obsessed with girl and uses social media to systematically infiltrate every aspect of her life. (Come on, I did say this was on Lifetime!)

As Fear the Walking Dead warned us with its calamitous Season 3 finale, these Season 4 photos, released exclusively to TVLine Wednesday, appear to confirm that The Walking Dead offshoot is about to go dark. Very dark.

The pictures — among them, shots of new series regulars Lennie James...

Hot off the presses — ABC’s firefighter-themed Grey’s Anatomy spinoff at long last has a name.
The network on Thursday announced that the Seattle-based offshoot — which is scheduled to premiere in March — will be titled Station 19.
