One central theme of this drama is the idea of "Who is watching the watchers"; or, "How do we, the citizens, protect ourselves from a government intent on self-preservation at the expense of an individual or two, give or take?" For those with a healthy sense of individual sovereignty, this case is unnerving and can cause sleeplessness and hyper-vigilance. This reviewer is not necessarily calling this a bad thing...
