An uninspired film in a irrelevant genre
This short film attempts, as all horror films must, to shock and terrify its audience, juxtaposing a pleasant country setting with the murderous actions of an escaped madman (how original). But aren't we all sick and tired of horror films by now?
As the astute and world-renowned critic Sean Stockton points out, this film is clearly inspired very heavily by the work of Tommy Wiseau, and the chilling horror masterpiece that is Troll 2. Yet it fails to build upon these foundations, instead filling you with a sense of grave disappointment, making you question whether life is worth living, or if reality is only an illusion constructed by human consciousness to assure us that life is more than an empty, endless void.
Ultimately, I would advise you to avoid this film and instead see the works of some of the auteurs of our age, such as the thought provoking character studies of Michael Bay, or the under-appreciated masterpiece of M Night Shyamalan 'After Earth', starring the modern-day philosopher and masterful thespian Jaden Smith (who I believe may be Laurence Olivier reincarnated).
