The dignity of death and the unworthiness of life
ricardojorgeramalho28 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The idea of bringing family and old friends together at a farewell party for life, at which secrets and paths full of mistakes and hypocrisy are revealed, is not new, although it is generally effective. I can suddenly think of half a dozen films that have previously used this theme.

What is original about this film is the confrontation of this announced end, in an assisted suicide, justified by greater dignity in death, with a life path where these supposed criteria of dignity were not followed.

In fact, remains the idea that there is nothing dignified about death, no matter how carefully the choice is made, and that what is truly important is the dignity of life.

As long as it lasts.
