THE PARK was an interesting game. The story is about a woman, Lorrainne, that takes her young son, Callum, to an amusement park called Atlantic Island Park on Solomon Island and there, the nightmares begin.
The first-person psychological horror game is more of a narrative style game, and it presented its true story in little bits, slowly as the the main character progresses, revealing strange occurrences surrounding and within the park including missing children, violence, depression, grief, alcoholism/drugs, mental illness, murder, insanity, etc. This was a fun, although short play. I really enjoyed the visuals of the park and rides, the flashbacks, and certain symbolic elements as well, such as Hanzel/Gretel theme, Chad the Chipmunk, the Boogeyman, the final stages, and the twist at the end.
Overall, this was an interesting game. I played with friends in a one-sitting period of about 2 hours. It could have been longer and the story and park expanded upon, but we enjoyed it. It left plenty of room for speculation on the ending.
