- A man tries to propose marriage to a girl and the father of the girl converts a movie studio into a Daffy House to deter the man from marrying the girl. Several people are hired to act strangely in the house to convince the man of a change of heart.—DANA COCKE'
- A girl (Helen Kassler) complains to her dad (John Early) about a suitor (Joe Bonner) that is pursuing her with a marriage proposal. The father decides to pose as the superintendent of a Daffy House and hire actors and actresses from the studio to serve as lunatics to deter the man from pursuing her daughter for a marriage proposal. The sign above the studio is changed to read Daffy House instead of Romayne Studios to lure the suitor into the house with the expectation that the girl is in the house. Several of the studio actors begin to act like lunatics in several different rooms throughout the house to show the suitor that not everyone acts normally in the hope that the man will lose his interest in the girl via a mental breakdown. The M.P. Director (Howard Dodds) of the studio tries to recruit the craziest possible actors and actresses to occupy the house and act strange enough to deter the suitor from wanting to pursue the girl. A tall actor from the studio is seen outside in the courtyard and he is asked to come in to join the group acting strangely.
The tall main 'nut' (Mark Hamilton) begins to chase the suitor throughout the house and lassos him and leads him outside to a fountain that is filled with 7 young women in bathing suits sitting in the fountain who proceed to dunk the two for several minutes under the fountain to try and cool his ardor for the girl and cure the nut of his strange behavior. Throughout the film the man is chased by the nut and lassoed to try and convince him through insane behaviors not to continue to pursue the girl, but in the end he ends proposing marriage to her anyway as the actors and actresses dance around in a circle in the Daffy House in celebration of their potential union.
