After deciding to film two of his own stories, Erick Wofford, the director of SPLATTERPUNK! approached both Clive Barker and Joe Hill for movie rights to several short stories but was unable to reach an agreement. Erick then decided to reach out to David Schow and after sending a link to THE MUSIC OF ERICH ZANN, David Schow allowed his short story "Blue Amber" to be adapted into the film.
