One of the Only Ones I Didn't Like
So many weird situations that seemed too forced...especially the whole Carly Rae Jepsen situation- seemed forced and like a promo deal they all made. I normally LOVE the writing on Castle episodes but this one was just...odd.

High Heels!!

I have been saying this since I first noticed Kate's high heels. There is no way ever that a plain closed officer would ever wear high heels unless she was undercover as a "Call Girl". So the skit was amazingly funny as the showrunners must have had hundreds of letters from fans saying how ridiculous they are especially when she uses them in a foot chase. And she has done that on many occasion. Running in high heels is pretty close to impossible. That's why they never show her feet during foot chases EVER! Yes Nathan Fillion(Castle) is tall and I understand how they hate tall actors in Hollywood for any romantic scenes mainly kissing. Ever wonder why so many popular male actors are so very under the average height. The answer is it looks better in the kissing shot that both actors be relatively close in height. The shot just frames better. But Stana isn't short so why the High Heels? Not necessary. Get rid of them.

Warning: Spoilers
It was a super funny episode and I enjoyed it a lot. I loved the way the old actor was flirting to Cate and Rick's anger towards him for that, the comedian turning his arrest into a sketch and "Hurricane Martha" having a crisis ("Is he dead?" was a funny thing to keep repeating in the context) and the scene showing Richard encouraging her was a very sweet one, same being truth about Kate insisting towards Castle to talk to his mum. But I still don't understand why Kate has to call her husband Castle and not Richard. I also loved Carly Rae Jepsen's appearance in the show, although her music might not be the fittest one for the show and the characters and the comedians doing Castle and Kate sketch were pretty funny too, especially the heel gag. And I loved the ending. So, on average, it was a cute episode, worthy of a 9 from me

The shark has been indeed jumped.

OK, where do I begin with how horrible this episode is? Jaleel White in a stunt casting role that vanishes 3 minutes in? The incredibly obvious ripoff of SNL? The blatantly obvious red herrings? The "Castle" skit? The "i don't even have words for it" Carly Rae Jepson appearance? That was apparently necessary to show the two of them dancing, even though neither character would have the slightest idea who she was (Even Alexis would have better taste!)? The champagne bit? Martha having a crisis?

After last week's superb episode, where we had multiple possible bad guys, a great setting, and a few good twists, this was such a letdown! The actors are better than this, so give us better, or, because Stana Katic hasn't signed her contract, just let the show die after next week. Let us remember it at it's best, not with this kind of junk.
