- [five wolves surround Morgan in the middle of the street at the community]
- Blond Wolf: [the blond wolf recognizes Morgan] You. You live here?
- Morgan Jones: [Morgan takes a defensive stance to fight all five wolves with one swing of his stick at a time] Leave. My people have guns. Yours don't. They may be aiming rifles at you right now. Eyes at the scopes. Fingers on the trigger. Boom. It's gonna happen any second now unless you get the hell out of here and don't ever come back. You keep choosing this life, you will die.
- Blond Wolf: We didn't choose.
- [the blond wolf clicks his tongue at Morgan before the remaining five wolves retreat out of the gate entrance]
- [the tied up shaved head wolf wakes up to see Morgan and Father Gabriel sitting over him]
- Shaved Head Wolf: We're freeing you. You're trapped. You need to know, people don't belong here anymore.
- [Carol shoots the wolf in the head and hands both Morgan and Father Gabriel pistols]
- Maggie Greene: [Carol runs up to arm Maggie with a weapon] Carol?
- Carol Peletier: Maggie.
- Morgan Jones: [Morgan hands his gun over to Gabriel] Here.
- Father Gabriel Stokes: I'm not very good with guns.
- Morgan Jones: Me neither.
- [Morgan walks off]
- [Dr. Denise Cloyd examines her first patient Tara for headaches]
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: [Tara sits down] You're my first patient. And with that symptom, I'm pretty sure I can't kill you.
- Dr. Eugene Porter: [the two girls chuckle, when Eugene makes a rude comment] I mean, it is possible if you miss, like, a hematoma, or something.
- [Denise stares back at Eugene]
- Spencer Monroe: [after the Wolves attack] Is this what it's like? Out there?
- Rosita Espinosa: Pretty much.
- Spencer Monroe: How do you live in a world like that?
- Rosita Espinosa: This group... and Abraham, and this place... make sure you've got something worth dying for.
- [Carol shops in the pantry for food with the other community women]
- Mrs. Neudermeyer: Ugh.
- Erin: Something wrong, Shelly?
- Mrs. Neudermeyer: It's just those old noodles. I mean, I tell ya, if someone would just find me one of those machines, I swear we would all be eating like if we were on a tour of Tuscany.
- Carol Peletier: You know, Shel, I could teach you how to make pasta with your own two hands. But you'd have to promise not to smoke in the house. It's just a disgusting habit. And it kills you. If you ask me, there are too many things trying to do that already, right?
- Erin: Right.
- [Erin and Olivia smile as Carol walks off]
- [Carol arrives home to find Sam on her front porch steps]
- Carol Peletier: Your dad used to hit you and he got himself killed. It happened. Now it's done. You live with it or it eats you up.
- Carol Peletier: [Carol walks pass Sam to get in her house] Go home.
- [last lines]
- Wolves Leader: [Morgan enters a house only to be attacked by the wolves leader, after surviving a giant scuffle the wolves leader recognizes Morgan] You can't, can you. You should've.
- Morgan Jones: [Morgan beats the Wolves leader to the ground, as Morgan stands over him to take a swing to his head with the wooden aikido stick] I'm sorry.
- [first lines]
- Mom: [Enid and her parents try and get an abandoned car working] It says the ignition switch fuse is found at location 27.
- Dad: All right, 27. I need to know where that is.
- Mom: [sighs] Um, right here.
- Dad: Yeah, okay, this one's blown. What's this one, the red one?
- Enid: [Enid warns the parents of the walkers stepping out of the trees] Mom, dad, we got to go.
- Dad: Come on, come on.
- Mom: We see them. Just need to find a fuse so we can start the car. Almost got it, honey. Location 6. That's turn signal lamps and stop signal lamps.
- Dad: All right, we can live without turn signals.
- Enid: [Enid screams at a small group of walkers that come unexpectedly from around the corner behind] Dad, they're coming!
- [the scene cuts to Enid in tears, sitting in the same vehicle behind the driver window that's covered with blood]
- [Dr. Denise Cloyd introduces herself to Tara and Eugene]
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: Listen, I'm a little nervous here. I'm a psychiatrist. I went to med school. I was even going to be a surgeon but after the panic attacks, I got really interested in psychology. And... I think I'm really trying to lower expectations here.
- Dr. Eugene Porter: Can you do this?
- Tara Chambler: Eugene, shut up. She can do this.
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: I'm all this town's got. Pete didn't want me here. But I'm here now, and I only kind of want to throw up.
- [Dr. Denise Cloyd is put to the test when a member of the community is bleeding out from an attack by the wolves]
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: She's bleeding internally. Probably severed her femoral artery. She's dying.
- Tara Chambler: Okay, so the artery's severed. Can it be fixed?
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: Maybe by a surgeon.
- Tara Chambler: You were gonna be a surgeon.
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: But I'm not.
- Tara Chambler: She was protecting this place. She was guarding us. That's why we're here, for each other. You're afraid? I don't care. Help her. Try! Help her!
- Dr. Eugene Porter: [Eugene steps forward towards Denise] You don't want to be a coward. I know.
- Dr. Denise Cloyd: I need an abdominal binder, we're gonna pull the knife.
