DB uses his daughter as bait to draw the bad guys out of their lairs. The sick group of psychotics are led by a snake oil salesman who manipulates everyone. I don't know that a father could possibly take the chances that Russell takes. Some of the forensics are very far fetched. Hard to believe they could find their way to a standoff.

The Bait

In Seattle, Jared Briscoe is released by the justice and his brother Paul Winthrop celebrates in a press conference. Russell decides to use Maya as a bait to capture the twin brothers, but Daniel Shaw lures Maya saying that Russell has asked him to drive her to the airport. However, Maya is using a wire and Daniel's car is followed by several police cars. When he enters a warehouse, he switches car and drives to meet Paul without being wired. Now the CSIs need to process the area to track where Daniel may have gone with Maya.
"The Greater Good" is another great episode of "CSI" and probably the end of the saga of the Gig Habor Killer. The behavior of Daniel Shaw is not ell-explained since he could have told Finn and work together with the CSI to retrieve his daughter. But the episode is exciting and entertains. I hope this is the end of Paul, since he has mysteriously disappeared. My vote is eight.
