  Rick Grimes : [in the present, Rick gets ready to lead the group into moving the herd of walkers]  I know this sounds insane, but this is an insane world. We have to come for them before they come for us. It's that simple.

  Carol Peletier : [Carol hands Morgan a drink so he doesn't dehydrate while working on the wall]  Here you go.

  Morgan Jones : Oh, thank you. It's Carol, right?

  Carol Peletier : Yeah.

  Morgan Jones : You been with Rick long?

  Carol Peletier : Since Atlanta.

  Morgan Jones : And were you a cop, too?

  Carol Peletier : [Carol smiles]  Why would you think that?

  Morgan Jones : You're always watching. You always, uh... seem ready.

  Carol Peletier : For what?

  Morgan Jones : You know, to handle things.

  Carol Peletier : [Carol smiles before walking off]  Aren't you sweet.

• [in a flashback, Rick offerss the keys to his house to Morgan as the two rest along the porch] 

  Rick Grimes : [Rick tosses his house keys to Morgan]  Get your stuff. You should stay with us over here.

  Morgan Jones : You got room?

  Rick Grimes : We'll make room. We don't need to do that anymore. I know you, Morgan. Even if this is the first time.

  Rick Grimes : [Morgan looks over to Rick holding Judith]  You want to hold her?

  Morgan Jones : [Morgan chuckles]  Okay.

  Rick Grimes : [Rick hands Judith over to Morgan]  This is Morgan. He's a friend of mine.

  Morgan Jones : [Morgan holds Judith]  Hey. Hi. Okay. Let me have a look at you. Hey, hey. hey, hey.

  Morgan Jones : [Rick and Morgan sit on the porch as Morgan pauses]  You with that man Carter, at the armory - That's you. You're still the same man I met in King County. The one that came back and told me it wasn't over. That was you. Same you that's right in front of me right now.

  Rick Grimes : [Rick talks about Carter]  I wanted to kill him. So it would be easier. So I wouldn't have to worry about how he could screw up or what stupid thing he'd do next because that's who he is. Just somebody who shouldn't be alive now. I wanted to kill him. But all that hit me and... I realized I didn't have to do it. He doesn't get it. Somebody like that... they're gonna die no matter what.

  [Morgan sits quiet as the scene cuts to Carter being bit by a walker] 

• [in a flashback, Morgan talks to Rick after the murder of Pete] 

  Morgan Jones : [Morgan smiles]  You were right. It wasn't over.
