Andy and Lance are set to perform their song at an open mic night, Andy desperately hoping Becky doesn't turn up, Lance desperately hoping his lost love does.

I think this may be the episode where I fall in love with this series, I enjoyed the first two, not sure if I fully connected with it, here though, I did, they are such well rounded, interesting and real characters.

The performances are phenomenal, how good was Rachel Sterling here, you could feel the character's torment, frustration and disappointment, was she, or wasn't she.

It's definitely bittersweet, the laughs are very subtle, but very purposeful, very funny.

I was expecting the song to be a disaster, but it was pretty good.

8/10.

Episode 3

It starts off with Andy making an important find. A Jim'll Fix It badge that was deeply buried. Andy nervously discards it.

With Art and Paul sniffing around, claiming that they know about an important find in Larry Bishop's land. Andy and Lance tell all to Terry. Get the rest of the Detectorists involved.

However Terry an ex policeman is more interested in what happened to Bishop's wife. Just what lies beneath the land the farmer wants no one to touch?

While Andy and Lance perform their song at the opposition's pub. Becky turns up with an inkling that Andy is getting too close with someone.

It started and ended with good laughs. Poor Terry, Bishop's land certainly warmed him up. They also made the most of the sharp lemon drink bit.

It was good that Andy's flirting with Sophie did not drag. That Becky confronted Andy about it.

You also feel for Lance, he just does not realise that his ex has got a new man and she is very frisky with him.
